Not a good hire. He was replaced by Bo Pelini at Oklahoma?

I didn't understand that line. Pelini went from LSU to Nebraska in 2004.

That shouldn't even be the primary reason for not understanding that line.

Do you get the impression that qualified DC's are saying "No thanks"?

Penn state was 2nd or 3rd in total defense. Shoop is pretty good.

Shoop had top 20 defenses three years in a row with vanderbilt talent. Then went to penn st after all those sanctions and had the number 2 ranked defense. He would be a huge get in my opinion.

Shoop would be an outstanding hire. Idiots on this board have already turned everything into "hire cp or miles is an idiot" and have run with it.

I would like the CP hire but I'm also open to others too.
This defensive coordinator search is really bringing out the true idiocy of this lsu fanbase. It's on another level at this point.

I consider Shoop to be a solid choice. Arguably, the number 1 choice.

Regardless of who is selected, I intend to reserve final judgement until I see Wyatt happens on the field.

Not going to lie. I do wonder what potential DCs are saying behind closed doors about how and why Chavis left.

But, I recall people losing their mind over the Chavis hire. I'll wait and see.
