It depends on the meaning of "is", I mean "no".

Brady said he was going to be at LSU "as long as they'll have me"

As he made that comment he had already taken the Panthers job.

Coaches are ambiguous or flat out lie about this stuff all the time. That being said...I hope he's being truthful here.

O was in with Jordy and T-Bob and did not deny Pelini was a candidate. If this was all BS, it would have been easy for O to say “Bo and I are friends, he’s a great defensive mind but he’s got a job and we haven’t spoken about the opening.”

I hope he is telling the truth. This is not 2007. Times have changed. His scheme might work at Youngstown State because he is coaching against newbies still trying to cut their teeth.

You are not keeping up with the times.

2016: 12-4 made it to FBS National Championship game. FBS where lack of talent breeds innovation with “what do we have to lose wild abandon”.

Nebraska sucked before Pelini.

With Pelini won Big-12, 9, 10, 10. Big-12 known for innovative offensives. Big-10, 9, 10, 9, 9. Big-10 home of innovative offensives during his tenure 2011-14.

Nebraska has sucked after Pelini. Wins per year, 6, 9, 4, 4, 5.

I’m fine with Pelini back as LSU DC. Damn fine DC at LSU. Did a good job at Nebraska but was too firey for the pearl clutchers there. Good recruiter. Doing a job so good at Youngstown that they renewed his contract. At 52 years old he is less likely to chase rainbows like the young and ambitious Brady or 43 year old Aranda. Unlike Aranda he’s already HC a major P5 school.

Potential longevity, proven recruiter, plus proven ability equals a win.

Buuut... I won’t die if he and O don’t come to terms. LSU talent base even made the Chief look good. We still coming!
