You just have to love the Rant.

Earlier to day there was a thread bitching about ticket prices being too high.

LSU's should lower ticket prices, yet WW should get more money? Rantard economics.

Tom Izzo for 3.6m, yes please you can have wade.

He's at 4.4M total. That's crazy though compared to Calipari making almost 8M and Coach K near 9M. K is not twice as good as Izzo.

Downvoted because the list is inaccurate/old. Kermit Davis is at Middle Tenn on this list. He is a more proven coach IMO. I would pay him what Wade is making TBH.

I mentioned the list was for last year. You can't calculate total earnings for this year bc incentives, etc are still TBD. Some of these guys get more incentives than others, so you can't make full comparisons solely based on salaries.

FYI, Kermit makes $2.5M. Same as Wade. Nothing against Kermit, but I'd take Wade over him in a heartbeat.

Maybe he should win something first?

Does this apply to other sports? I read about lots of folks wanting to extend the contract of the tackle football coach. Curious as to what’s different with folks wanting the basketball coach to be paid a little more?

This is why you're not an AD.
He nearly doubled his salary when he came to LSU. He also has up to $800K in incentives.

If he produces SEC trophies or NCAA Tourney wins he will be get raises but now is not the time.

No, he was being fired against one miss for being down 4-0...

How are some people not embarrassed about that??

If I said I wanted the coach fired and then his pay raised the next day, I wouldn't be able to take myself seriously.

It’s even crazier that Jay Wright has won 2 out of the last 3 NCAA tournaments, yet only makes $2.6mil.

he's $400K behind the second highest and is lumped together with every other SEC couch not named Calipari. How much you wanna pay him? What has he really done yet, beyond recruit?

Heck, just the other day, before halftime, TR was calling for his head!

looks pretty competitive to me. He needs to win something before he gets a bigger paycheck like a sweet 16
