He is not leaving on his own terms with the current AD. Anyone that has played baseball and been around good coaching knows we are a poorly coached team. The coaching lapses did not just start this season. I guarantee the new AD knows this and Paul better clean house and hire some real coaches. If not, he will be sitting at the house during baseball season in the near future.

I think Woodward will set the bar considerably higher than it has been the past two years. I would expect that conversation to occur shortly between Scott & CPM.
Sure, we backed into a super regional but only a few weeks ago we were wondering if we were even going to get an invitation. That is not where an LSU baseball team is expected to be in mid-April, parity be damned! Losing six mid-week games when you are playing starters at all defensive positions is inexcuseable and yes Matt, it does impact the selection of hosts/national seeds.

You people that think Paul should be fired are the stupidest people on the planet. What coach would want to come to LSU after they fired a guy that has won a title, been to the cws multiple times and was the runner up just a few years ago. Football went through the same thing and LSU had to settle with their dline coach

Well I sure as hell don’t want a coach with the same pussified mindset as you. There are actual coaches out there with balls and a mindset to match their ability to get highly rated recruits to play at a higher level. They can actually coach their team to have the discipline to do all the fundamental things of the game naturally through preparation and reps. To beat FSU, we didn’t need different players. All we needed was for them to play fundamental, error free baseball. You’re telling me there is nobody out there that can coach that? There were far to many errors out there this weekend and it was awful to watch. That was all on the players and the coach for not teaching them the discipline of fundamental baseball.

Of course he's not the only one thinking that. There are plenty of other idiots thinking that.

I'm confident he'll be gone after next years imminent collapse.

PS. Speaking of stupidest people on the planet, 2016 Dumb arse of the Year, Alleva is not the AD anymore. I'm sure Woodward isn't going to fire PM only to hire Ochinko as our next HC!

You guys need to stop blaming the coach in every sport for every loss. You even blame the track & filed coach because runners dropped the baton !!

The Track Coach wouldn't have pitched to Martinez.
