Kinchen also believes that a LSU/Bama rematch is a reality.

Why don't you think it could happen?

I disagree...Bama could have won this game just as easily. I don't think we can say definitively who is better.

LSU made plays when they needed to and Bama didn't. I don't think it's that hard to determine who's a better team.

A TEAM is every aspect of the game.

ST issues at Bama are severly slacking. A better TEAM would have made those FG's. A better team would have made better decisions.

They didn't. LSU did.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying they're miles apart at all.

Ok..... A team that makes the mistakes that Bama made and can't win a close game at home hasn't outplayed the other team.

Why is it that people don't think special teams count?

I'd rather not play them, but if Stanford and OSU lose (which I'm predicting they will), it's a very strong possibility.

Predictably people are making very reasonable arguments that the missed FGs lost the game for Bama but does anyone think we would have stayed as conservative as we did on offense in the second half had they made those FGs?

It happened and we took advantage and won - better TEAM won.

As others have noted, Finebaum is playing to his audience and has been...otherwise he would have been another obscure talking head in the sports world. The thing that I find most incredualous in how he can defend Mike Slive as being and "honorable man"....he is Slive's equivalent of a dime store monkey

Certainly one of the best, but it isn't like Miles doesn't have a well prepared team as well. With time to prepare, Miles may be the best there is. He had JJ ready to go because he knew he would likely need him. He had his team ready. They didn't lose their cool when they made mistakes. Every time Alabama looked ready to take over, LSU shut them down. They were cool in overtime, unlike Bama. That is because of both preparation and good in game decisions.

what did you think about the comments about the post game locker room e.g., helmets flying, tears flowing from players and the coach, fingers pointed... I was a bit surprised that he would cough those tidbits up.... not a pretty picture to paint for an already depressed fan base.... sounds like Armageddon

Go to Paul finebaum web site. Under the "mobile" tab there are WJOX app links. There is also a list of affiliates that list a lot of stations that may have online feeds.

The WJOX app for iPhone us working fine for me.

Roll Tears Roll

Bama needs to worry about Auburn before they make their reservations on Bourbon Street. If Mosely gets healthy and Auburn continues to gain confidence, ANYTHING can happen in that game. And Auburn smells blood.
