One of the worst things ESPN has ever done is bring the Jerry Springer of Alabama football to a national audience.

How would SECN replace four hours of Bama trash calling into a lifeless icon?

This will be the biggest hit since they made that sitcom starring the caveman from the Geico commercials.

His show sucks. What he does does not work nationally. But it is perfect for a local or regional thing. He said thing on Alabama radio that just sound stupid while watching him. On radio it works.

He's been saying a lot recently how much he misses Birmingham & would love to return. But ESPN has him locked into his present location. Reading between other lines on this subject, he will be gone, "possibly as soon as the end of the 2020 football season".

This would be the white trash version of Everyone Loves Raymond without the humor.

His radio show back when he was in Birmingham was way better than what he does now. His show right now is terrible. At least back then the callers were so nuts it made it comical.

This is actually fantastic, the end of the Bama network and he goes off into oblivion.

A sitcom about a Alabama sports radio host would be interresting

if that host is anyone but Finebaum.

"The end of the bama network"....exactly! I think ESPN may have reined him in, a bit, as he's not been as open about it, but that bama bias does still exist. Not only would his leaving his show be great, leaving ESPN would get him off all of ESPN's channels as "college football's expert".Get him off SEC Game Day, etc etc, all good.

Been talking to Larry Leo a while about doing a sitcom about TD...he says he wants me to write three episodes before he will take me serious...
