Instead of naming fields and creating statues. I think Lsu should do a "walk of honor" with plaques of the tiger greats, players and coaches. Instead of the plaques being on the ground they should be up on a wall that you walk past.

I actually really like this idea. Would be something people could actually look at and see why the folks are special instead of just having the field named after them. At the same time (and I know this has been discussed numerous times before), there should be more players on the Ring of Honor inside TS.

waste of time....it'll be changed to Les Miles Field at Tiger Stadium shortly

You wish. Miles might get a parking lot named after him, maybe, or a hallway in one of the buildings

NO!!!

In all do respect to coach Dietzel, yeah RIP. But when you mention his name I remember him saying, "I will never leave LSU." Then it seems like it wasn't long when he said, "I always wanted to coach at Army."

...guess you had to be there...

I personally would prefer our field to be named Les Miles Field after Les retires. Les will go down not only as our greatest coach and father figure for our football players. Les has stated over and over, he's committed to LSU, loves LSU even after he's been approached by Michigan to coach there. Les' tenure may become 15 years as head coach leaving him 2nd to Coach McClendon's 17 years. Both McClendon and Miles have shown a long term commitment to LSU football. If the field is going to be named after a head football coach it needs to be McClendon or Miles at this point.

Neaux!
Facts are facts. Dietzel Sabaned LSU in 1961. He was at LSU barely longer than Saban was. Remember both fondly for what they brought. But that's it.

Wasn't Paul going through poon in Baton Rouge like a pitbull through a litter of kittens?

Heard he was quite familiar with the interior of all sorority houses on campus.

I'd rather them do something with the sad crumbling, yet once glorious, structure on campus already named for him.

Good argument. They definitely need to restore the old fieldhouse.

There's a toilet in a stall in the mens room of the SW upper, that gets stiking shitty clogged up seemingly every game.

I'm going to start a petition for it to be named for Curley.
