I'm getting sick of you yoyo's talking about how pathetic the PMAC is, yet not a single one of you actually attend the games. If you want to fix the problem, get season tickets and show up. There are a bunch of folks who already do that, yet your cheap/lazy/whatever else arse wants to criticize them from the sideline.

It absolutely starts with this. If you don't go to games don't complain. I am at every game supporting the team.

On that front I have seen how bad the support has been, I don't know if there is a solution. Used to think that was a winning product, that hasn't seemed to change the atmosphere much.

We got loud last night in the 2nd half for Mizzou of all teams!

I was there. We cannot seem to get a big active crowd. The awful seat configuration. The big mostly empty media area.

Mostly bad basketball. The last home game.. Bama.. was very good, basketball.

Against Missouri we played about ten minutes of good basketball.

Our student representation is horrible. Yes I was a student during days of Stro, Jabari, Lamont, Torris etc and we went to every game drunk and rowdy. Sneaking a 1/2 pint into PMAC was a breeze. The whole PMAC seating configuration is stagnant and ineffective but students need to put their butts in the stands. They are best fans as a whole. Can’t Canes hand out some tenders and toast. I know it’s a dead horse but if Auburn can create a frickin jungle with 2 years of success we should be able to do it.

They need a 6'5 version of Chris Jackson that can light it up from outside and dunk all night long.

I don’t think the program is being marketed effectively. The table needs to be set before conference play and that’s not going to happen with our shitty non conference schedule (talking about bringing in the students.) None of them will ever come out to watch some of those games and god forbid we lose one, kills any and all momentum with them.

I also think they need to chill with the Uber family friendly environment a little. My section has a shite ton of families that bring their 2-5 year olds and are constantly dealing with them instead of watching the games. Maybe I’m just naive, but I never see that on tv watching other programs that consistently fill their arenas.

Why can’t we get former players involved like the football program does?

This team won the SEC last year and has a share of 1st place right now. Anyone talking about a shitty product being the reason for low attendance is a shitty fricking fan. Our fans are the problem

1. We lost the last two games in embarrassing fashion

2. We should've beaten Mizzou by at least double digits, and instead this team shoots 0-for-9 from behind the arc and goes to halftime down by 6

3. Actually being there, the crowd turned up once LSU started playing at a level that would take the lead and did. Everyone was standing and yelling when the 3's starting falling

Point 1 kept the crowd from being big in the first place. It was a much bigger crowd against Florida and would've been just as big if we entered the night on a 12 game winning streak instead of a two game losing streak. Point 2 will always happen, a crowd will always be apathetic to a game played without intensity and especially when it felt like LSU could do no right.

Point 3 would've been apparent had you gotten off your arse and gone to the game yourself

What a dumb statement. Kids love going to LSU basketball games. As they grow older they will continue to like and hopefully go to LSU basketball games. Right now LSU basketball is building a pretty good fan base with families.

I think LSU has given up on trying to get students involved. In the past 5 or 6 years they’d do food and prize giveaways but students still didn’t show up. Plus any time there was actually a decent student crowd you’d have a bunch of students on here making fun of the loyal students who sat down low and got to games early.

Pathetic Home Crowd
I find the play of this team more offensive lately.

And will somebody at least try to keep the man with the ball from blowing by them like a turnstile?

You get what you accept. Wade needs to send some messages.

9-2 in the SEC, about to make the NCAA tournament for the 2nd straight year (that hasn't happened at LSU in 14 fricking years), contenders to win back to back outright SEC regular season Championships (Hasn't happened ever at LSU btw), and we are playing hard as hell every night.

From a season ticket holder, I would say our home crowd are a bunch of bitches for not supporting this team. It is truly a fricking joke. We are tied for 1st place in the SEC with 7 games left. Has been a great season even with the few hiccups.

Thank you Coach Wade for making LSU Basketball great again

True / False

LSU has the worst basketball fan base in the SEC.

True. If you disagree, tell me another SEC program that would have a half full building for an SEC home game when their team is in serious contention to repeat as SEC Champs. And fwiw, I was at the game last night.

I know it was Kentucky and the only Auburn game I’ve watched but they brought it. It looked like student section was 2/3’s of lower level or more. Even when we have huge games it doesn’t look like that. It’s a bunch of silver hairs with wives sitting on their hands.

I hate to say it but keeping Wade will be hard if a successful fanatical basketball school comes calling. Our home gym is a disadvantage at this point especially when you factor in our shooting.

Our football team was 10-0 and ranked #2 in the nation, and we couldn't fill 75% of Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night against Arkansas. You think the PMAC is gonna be rocking on a Tuesday night at 8pm against Mizzou?

Getting big, enthusiastic crowds on a consistent basis doesn't happen over night.
Truth is, LSU has been bad for so long, there aren't that many college BB fans in the greater BR area. It takes a while to build up that kind of loyalty and for fans to know that they will get their money's worth form the team on a consistent basis.
Wade is not yet able to put that kind of product on the floor, and certainly not on a consistent basis.
Truth is, Bruce Pearl gets there at AU before Wade here. Wade may have a higher ceiling, but who knows?
