I'm not gonna judge anyone by the Penn State game. That game was a nightmare, its too bad we werent in Dallas on field turf.

Regardless it seems he gets lulled to sleep a bit because he just doesn't see to much action. That is something that he can get worked out.

Physically he is the best player on the field.

Do they show him giving a 12 yard cushion on 3rd and 10 all 5 times he did it v's Penn State?

Did you forget about the field conditions for that game???

More annoying than anything about youth culture, rap culture, specifically black culture, is the narcissism.

That video embarrasses me.
And I am a BIG fan of his on-field performance.
And here is the thing, when PP does face REAL adversity, and I'm not talking about a sprained ankle, he will be COMPLETELY UNPREPARED for it.
It ain't about YOU, Patrick, it's about the Purple & gold.

plus a whole lot.

Best Cornerback ever to be at LSU,
Travis Daniels & Webster were both better---to this point. Fred Booker was pretty good as a senior. Do remember Rodney Young, Denard Walker, or Tory James? They were pretty good as well.
Peterson still has a way to go. He looked lost against PSU & stunk it up against Mississippi too.
I thought Laron was a full of himself. But Peterson might give him a run for his money.

Worst game by a talented CB in history of football. He played scared after giving up the TD bomb.

btw, i don't get on the rant much anymore because the negative shite annoys the hell out of me. but i really liked the secondary coach video. i am sure everyone has seen it a hundred times but i have not.

anyways, offensive videos are cool and all but to have a dominating defense is so much more fun. i love watching those videos.

I am most definitely not a racist.

I don't care what kind of music is playing (it's like porn - don't like the music? Mute it, play your own and enjoy the show).

That being said -

I won't even watch the video because of what it's called. Narcissism is not an anagram for racism. I honestly would rather the "can't see me" than the "look at me"... and I HATED that sh*t.

"I'm the Greatest"

Was the Sports Center Windmill just not good enough? Does he REALLY need to present himself in such a smug and egotistical light?

LilTune - I know he's yer buddy and all, so let me drop some wisdom on ya... maybe you can put it to use somewhere down the line.

Stuff You Know: A team is only as strong as its weakest link.

Stuff You Should Know: The converse is not true. The "greatest" player on a team leads by example, inspires and elevates his teammates and knows that without them he would not be able to excel.

Stuff Somebody Needs to Know: When your ARE the greatest - People know it. They WANT to show their appreciation. THEY make the videos. GOOD videos.

But hey... why wait? It's taking too long to get that respect? Make your own.

Toot Toot.

Toot Toot.

Toot Toot.

Toot Toot.

Dammit! That horn is annoying.

ETA:

"I'm the Greatest" makes "#1 Defense" look like a good idea.

You think that PP has let his 'greatness' get to his head?

the question is: Did he even watch the video?

Because the video is saying "I am going to show you..."

Basically, it is saying that it is all about his play, he is referencing that he wants to be like the greatest champs off all-time. He is going to let his play back up his talk.

Many of the greats in sports have had a similar attitude. Being confident is part of what it takes to be a champion

Edit: Does anyone actually think he made the video?

Why stop at videos? Maybe he should get some shirts printed....

I just get this horrible vision of Brian Bosworth whenever a player toots his own horn.

If it's uploaded and on display on his "Official Facebook Page" he's letting it represent him whether he made it or not... Maybe if it was called "You're the Greatest" it wouldn't bug me as much. I am just one opinion, though.

so you get a vision of an exceptional college player?

I get a vision of MJ whenever a player is good enough to back up what he says

The guy isn't as awesome as he thinks he is, but he's still pretty damned good.

He needs to realize that NFL execs hate puffery.

Just ask that Witherspoon kid from Mizzou.

Michael Jackson?!?

Kidding.

Michael Jordan proved himself on the court. Led his teams to championships and let his play speak for itself. THEN the sponsors crowned him.

EXACTLY.

quote:

OLB Sean Weatherspoon, Missouri
For as well as Weatherspoon worked out on the field and for as much as his "character" is praised within the Missouri program, he has turned off a number of decision makers just as much with his outlandish, look-at-me, loudmouth personality and has been criticized for worrying too much about his image and post-football career aspirations before he has accomplished anything in the National Football League.

"He never shuts up," one top executive said. "He was the loudest guy in the room for the bench press. He gives me a headache. I think he is full of (it). It's all about himself. I don't want him in my locker room."

You can talk the talk, and walk the walk, but no one like a loud mouth.
