i never said shite about harris..... go call out who did.

burrow has some very good attributes and SHOULD be better than etling and AGAIN proves how well canada did with his limitations. if you think burrow looks stupid as some past QB's and other metrics then you are beyond help. he has looked very good at times. his coach is doing him no favors.

My opinion... LSU needs to hire a top notch QB coach to develop these guys. And, you need an OC who knows how and when to throw the ball. Bama has never had a great offense until they hired a QB coach, added a talented QB and went to a pass first, run second offensive scheme. I mean, the run and pass game compliment each other but at LSU it looks like they really don't want to pass and are tentative in calling the pass plays. Turn the QB lose and he will get better. OC can't be afraid to make mistakes.

That’s the entire point of the post. He’s talented but coaching is holding us back. New year, same LSU.

He is talented but not more talented than anyone else we had in the past 10 years. He does some thing wells same as the others but never was developed to improve their weaknesses.

Oh I don’t disagree that he SHOULD be better than Etling.

But the fact remains that he isn’t.

“ passing game”

Well, that was certainly one of the factors Joe supposedly used in his decision-making process. Almost 3 years later and we are even in worse shape offensively.

Thing is, it’s been this way all season for the most part. Some people just didn’t wanna talk about it because we were winning and we are still winning in spite of the dismal O. Pretty much the same as what has been going on for a number of years.

I understand coaches speak, but having coach O give me the, Coach E is doing a great job BS is tough to swallow.

he schemed around weaknesses
Agree, same as Miles, Saban and most others(each in his own way).
Saban and Miles played in/won NCs scheming around weaknesses.
Still Canada's scheming produced less ppg than all but one of Miles offenses (2009)...... maybe excessively handcuffed by Bebe, but still fact.

We'll soon see how spread and misdirection affect Bama's D with Gus.

The argument of who is more talented can be had. It's a subjective stance.

The argument of who is/was more productive cannot be had. The answer is Etling.

well it has worked in the past see CUM, and to a lesser extent dabo and freeze. GUS' system works best with a cam newton or nick marshall type so he can run his true power spread like CUM. although he beat saban last year i do not see it this year.

and still gave us most yards versus bama since 2012 under les.

and miles teams had way better lines and receivers. see how bad the line was last year sack percentage wise. look at what we had as WR. and a limited QB plus O meddling and the whole offense not installed. i have laid out examples. It would have been even better this year. it is a no brainer. canadas concepts are better it is not even debatable compared to miles and his predictable not using whole field offenses. miles got lots of his stats scoring and rushing by breaking huge runs against 8 and 9 man fronts like i told rickydaddy. that was his style.

The stat I used is ppg and don't give rat's azz how they're obtained.
So far, a move toward 50/50 r/p has netted nothing offensively, contrary to the narrative it's all LSU needed.
Something needs to happen as LSU offense is moving backward since the coaching change.
