I think we can all agree that Les’s main downfall was not being able to develop a QB or passing game after Mett, Jarvis and Odell. I don’t think E should be fired but at some point we have to start producing a passing offense.

Let me start by saying- I think Joe is the best QB out of Etling, Jennings, Harris and Burrow. With that said here’s their numbers, this simply isn’t good enough. This should inspire the offensive staff to take a good long hard look at themselves because a lack of a passing offense cost the last HC his job.

2014 Cam Cameron:
Jennings: 48.9% 1611 Yds 11 TDs 7 Ints 118.3 rating
Harris: 55.6% 452 Yds 6 TDs 2 Ints 175 rating
Total: 2063 Yds 17 TDs 9 Ints

2015 Cam Cameron:
Harris: 53.8% 2165 Yds 13 TDs 6 Ints 130.6 rating

2016 Cam Cameron / Einsminger:
Etling: 59.5% 2123 11 TDs 5 INTs 135.6 rating
Harris: 52% 139 Yds 1 TD 2 INT 95.9 rating
Total: 2262 yds 12 TDs 7 INts

2017 Canada:
Etling 60% 2463 Yds 16 TDs 2 Ints 153 rating

2018 (so far) Einsminger:
Burrow 53.5% 1728 yds 6 TDs 4 Ints 114.3 rating
On pace for- 2496 Yds 9 TDs 6 INts

The fact that Etling was our best QB since Mett says a lot.

Watching Alabamas scheme makes it worse. Tua can make all the throws but man Locksley was giving him easy reads and playcalls all night to those stud receivers.

With less than 40% of his offense installed and a weaker QB in a run first offense.

Ensminger is not the answer here if we want to beat Bama moving forward.

Our head coach is low IQ and our OC is in over his head. We'll be mediocre as long as they're at the helm.

Based on what exactly?

Hope? Wishful thinking?

Granted, he’s not getting much help but there is not really anything the suggest that he’s better than any of the others you listed.

Etling’s numbers looks like an All American compared to Burrow thus far

So Harris was better than Burrow. I wouldn't argue that. What I don't understand is all the excuses people make for Burrow and all the hate people have for Harris.

So Harris, Jennings and Etling are all better than Burrow and Cameron and Canada are better coaches than SE. Never saw this coming.

People like that Burrow is “tough”. People thought Harris pouted. That’s the difference.

Both suck

Just an eye test. He looks more accurate than Harris and Jennings.

He’s actually very similar to Etling. Decent accuracy, decent mobility, ok arm and poor deepball accuracy.

I wouldn't say that. I am more of the belief that LSU has sucked donkey dick at developing QBs over the last fricking decade in addition to running out dated shitty offenses.

Go get your eyes check, because the stats say otherwise.

His accuracy ain't shite compared to Etling's last season at LSU.

I’m just telling you what the difference to the fans is. Obviously is silly.

And yea, both suck within the context of the offenses they played in. But most QBs would suck.

That’s the entire point of the post. He’s talented but coaching is holding us back. New year, same LSU.

Aside from slants Ensminger's offense doesn't seem to really focus on getting rid of the ball quickly. Everything seems to be 15 yards downfield.

LSU has not cracked the top-65 in passing for the past 4 years, and the school has only been in the top-65 once since 2009: 2013.

LSU seems content to win 9-10 games by running the ball and playing defense.

It's just the same 'ole same 'ole each and every year.

I’m not sure. I think Etling was underrated by fans. Sure he was nowhere close to great, at best he was good enough. But Joe has just been bad. And I really like he kid and think he has potential to be better than Etling, but right now he just isn’t.

I said yesterday that this is the same old song and dance of miles' offense.

When SE took over he changed it up by not running the same 10 plays and used more shotgun sets. This forced teams to back off and play honest..."set RECORDS" against piss poor 90th or worse defenses and stuffed against top ranked.

Now, teams have a ton of tape on SE and know this is the same shite sandwich offense, only wrinkle being run out of shotgun. Same passing tree (deep down sidelines and majority of passes outside hash), will not attack middle and relies on between tackle running. same offense, different base formation, that is all. how people don't realize this is beyond me. Go look at SE offense after he took over in 2016, what is the difference?

If CEO wants to get his second contract, he better make a change in 2 places. first being the OC, go get a true OC. Second, time to move on from moffit. Players are not stronger and explosive anymore. Yes, we need to get better in the trenches but talent isn't the problem, strength and explosiveness is.
