reading the procedures for a second time, something i picked up on....

you are not required to get a decal unless you are staying overnight....seaux, why don't you go park your vehicle and then walk over to the visitor center to buy your pass?

Because they are only selling a limited number of overnight passes. I am going to see how it goes tonight/tomorrow morning and realign our plan for the UK game.

I don't recall reading this before. Where did you hear that? Seems to me they should sell as many as people walk up for...this is supposed to still be a first come first served deal.

Well that's what I meant. They aren't going to sell more passes than spots. I didn't want to get there at 7pm tonight when we drop off the trailer and the guy go "well, we just sold out."

They only have a certain amount of spaces, I think it's around 1500.

This is another issue that pisses me off about this. I can guarantee you that they'll be overlooking some spots when counting the total number available. They may not be actual marked off parking spots, but they'll still be taken up on any given gameday. If I show up to my spot tomorrow and there are parking spots available (which I know there will be because where we tailgate normally doesn't get full until about 10:00-11:00, maybe even 12:00 for a crappy opponent), and they tell me they're out of passes, I'll be one pissed off son of a bitch.

They aren't selling more passes/access than there are parking spots.

What really sucks is people who travel in on game day. It might cost me $40 just to be able to drive on campus and unload my tailgatr then drive off campus cause everything on is full. I'd have to leave my house on gameday at 3am to try and ensure myself a spot. Hard to do with a 2yr old

As I said above, it's very unlikely that LSU is accounting for every possible "parking spot." For example, we frequently block a car or two in by our spot to make more room, but it doesn't matter because we're all there all day, so if we have to move, we move. But LSU won't account for that, so even though we're all willing to pay the $40, we won't be allowed to do so.
