You now pay to park in areas that were previously free (which isn't a big deal to me) but the process for paying for and obtaining these particular passes on gameday appears to be a major cluster----.

They are now charging game by game for a section of the interior of campus that was previously free. Most have accepted the new charges but the system of decal purchases and the process for admittance to the new restricted area is not clear and is all but destined to be a cluster.

Ever thought about looking on lsusports.net about where to get parking passes? It would have saved you the trip to the wrong location along with sending out a misinformed thread like this.

2011 LSU Football Parking Changes

quote:

Noon - 6 p.m.
Overnight Decal Sales Location (OD) open at Alex Box Stadium ticket office (Gourrier Lane)

5 p.m.
Vehicles/trailers are allowed to enter restricted access area. Decals are not necessary to enter in the area unless vehicles/trailers will be parked overnight (past 4 a.m. on Saturday).

6 - 10 p.m.

10 p.m. - 4 a.m.

Everything published before has said noon. I looked at the map to see the "various locations" lsu was promising.

No it clearly said noon in one location and 6 at another. I'm looking at it right now.

Yea, I see that now but would it have hurt them to put the times on the map? And why move the passes around 3 times for the 14 hour period? Just sell them in one spot.

Show me where on the map it says the times? The original information from a few months ago stated that passes could be picked up beginning at noon at various locations on LSU's campus.

It's cool...I didn't read everything like I should have but that's the premise behind this. It isn't simple and clear...

Correct. Well, you CAN park but you will have to pay again and in cash.

They are doing this to prevent people from buying one pass and when they do the "sweep" at 4am, taking the pass and then using it for their buddies to enter.

This could easily be solved when they do they "sweep" to scan the barcodes on the passes.

I never said the map, I said the press release. You originally said everything published had said something different, I'm just saying I think this part was actually explained. It's dated May 1st.

But I do agree that overall this is just a big f'ed up process.
