Is Hal Mumme right to criticize LSU coach Ed Orgeron for not wanting other schools at Louisiana camps? Here is the story.

Eh, better than clueless Les

Lol... I thought the title as the name of a new course of study for our fanbase...

Non story. Most schools fight against this. I'm sure Texas would welcome LSU and a directional school from Oklahoma with open arms in Austin right????

To quote the article-
Sounds like sour grapes to me

“Paranoid Ed has kind of made it real plain that he was not going to allow any schools from outside the state to come in there and look at their players,” Mumme said.

Currently coaching at the football power Belhaven University (of course I had to look that up)... what the frick does he care a head coach in the SEC does?
Shut the frick up Hal, Kentucky was a long time ago.
Edit: saw in the recruiting board it cost his school five grand which is probably their whole school budget... don't hitch your wagon to a Texas school trying to horn in on Louisiana territory.

This can be chalked up to aggressive ignorance by Hal Mumme.
He actually thought this would be successful?
No wonder he has a losing record at Belhaven...

The real reason the camp was cancelled is the NCAA rule passed in April preventing a high school from hosting a satellite camp or having coaches work the camp, but hey, don't let facts get in the way of slamming our HC

Oh cool someone else who blindly follows the media without being able to look at all the fact themselves.

Survival of the fittest. Texas laid the bone to LSU a few times over the last few years (Toshiro Davis and Erik Fowler come to mind) and we already have to compete with them in the west part of the state.
Go set up a camp in Tuscaloosa and see what happens... Harbaugh tried to put camps down in the heart of Dixie and it got pretty ugly.

Deadpsin's version LINK had this:
I was like, WTF? There is a college in BR I have never heard of, and Hal Mumme is the damned coach?
Well, Mumme is the coach, but I don't see a BR campus on their site. They do offer Jesus-based tutelage in Jackson, Memphis, Orlando, Houston, Chattanooga, and Atlanta.

According to SI, the first iteration of the most recent camp ... had the location slated at a stadium near Belhaven, a D-III school in Baton Rouge ... After the deal was signed, Belhaven head coach Hal Mumme spoke with an assistant superintendent who “invoked a loophole in the paperwork,” forcing the camp out of the stadium.

Nevermind
Mumme can criticize all he wants. It is indeed his right. Not that it will change anything or make 2 shits to anyone that matters.
Might makes right and CEO won this, and a couple other, recruiting matches.
