If Cameron is hired we would just be doubling down on our offensive problems. You could make the arguement that what got Cameron fired in Baltimore is the exact shite miles pulled at the chicken bowl in the second half.

+1. Great point! A little unpredictability goes a long way. If LSU would just run the same plays out of a few different formations they would be much more successful. Also, don't call the same damn plays every time you're in the same place on the field. Don't call the same few plays by down and distance. Keep the defenses honest, and this offense could wreck shop with the talent LSU has on the field every year

And don't call the same plays for the same players, ala Michael Ford toss sweep, Russel Shepard reverse, and then Terrence Magee RB pass with only 1 throwing option where he hadn't played all game until that play.

Players leaving an staying and other stuff. But those would just be "opinions" and I don't want to get banned

Yeah, some players leaving early are basically doing so because they may not be eligible next year anyway.

Do you have an ''opinion'' on the OC situation?

Yeah, first page there is a thread started by me. If this Cameron thing pans out look for stud to be moved back to OL coach (to save face). But I'm not sure this will happen unless some higher up is pushing it

You can disagree all you want, but the word on Cameron is that he was too conservative and predictable. He never did anything stellar with the Ravens and he was fired mid-season from a team that was still in playoff contention. That's not my idea of a home run hire.

I don't understand what was Cameron's deal this season. He was awful.

I do like that he was with San Diego and developed Antonio Gates, which was kinda groundbreaking in using the Tight End on deeper routes, matching up with corners too small and linebackers too slow to cover a big mobile TE. Especially with the likes of Desean Smith, and possibly Josh McNeil coming in.

He was stupid......as I pointed out earlier, he chose to hinge the offense on a mediocre quarterback rather than one of the top 5 running backs in the NFL.

Whoopty doo.......they never won big when it counted. I'm sure many offensive coordinators can figure out how to use a freak athlete at TE....it's happening right now in New Orleans, New England, and Atlanta.

grades being a problem would not surprise me. when gundy took over at OSU, he said something about starting to make players go to class.

wish i could find that interview

You...like everyone else on this board...have no idea what Miles does and/or doesn't let his OC run

I agree with this except there have been changes in coaches, scheme and players and the production has been the same. I just wish Miles would let Stud coach the OL and take full control of the offense. Actually, as an HC you would think that he would do this since this unit has been one of the worst in CFB going on 4 years now.

Apparently the results aren't too bad if the players are not going to class......

Two of my coaching friends and colleagues are on the offensive staff at LSU. They have told me Miles controls every facet of what goes on with LSU's offense. Miles overrides half of the calls in the game. Red Zone, Goal line, 3rd /4th & Short Miles calls the plays.
