Cam and Les have a great relationship. And Les trust Cam.

+1. Great point! A little unpredictability goes a long way. If LSU would just run the same plays out of a few different formations they would be much more successful. Also, don't call the same damn plays every time you're in the same place on the field. Don't call the same few plays by down and distance. Keep the defenses honest, and this offense could wreck shop with the talent LSU has on the field every year

Do you think there are 76 better quarterbacks in college football? Do you think that the 76 quarterbacks that led better offenses than Mett had better talent surrounding them?

Damn I don't know what to say

I ask my "brain" today and it said the samething, "I'm still hearing Cam Cameron and there are only a few hurdles to get past."

I really wanna be right because I don't want y'all think think I'm leading you on. I really wish I could tell you everything I know about the whole program. Players leaving an staying and other stuff. But those would just be "opinions" and I don't want to get banned.

Lets just see if my "opinion" is right about Cam. I want to to come true for 2 reasons. I think it would be a GREAT fit and it's tough to build credibility with other TDers.

They're so against saying anything positive about Miles they're now propping up Crowton.

LSU could have Drew Brees at qb and we would still rank in the bottom half of Division 1 football offenses with the way we telegraph what play is coming.

This

LSU telegraphs everything and the only misdirection we have used is when Met rolls to the right and almost always throws to Landry in the shallow middle or to a fullback, who is usually behind the first down marker.

Meanwhile teams all over the country who 80% have fewer to equal resources as LSU, are using misdirection and double moves as foundations and the lifeblood of high powered offense's . The most frustrating thing about "MIles Offense" is that LSU has too many freakish athletes to run such a predictable offense in which everything must go perfect in order for the play to have any chance of succeeding and no emphasis on having players moving forward at full speed when the ball is delivered or handed off.

Would miles take a step back if Cameron came in? Why would miles want a guy who refused to give the ball to the best back in the league, but preferred to put it on the arm of a guy is a middle of the road qb at best?

I just looked up Camerons bio and saw that he became the Miami Dolphins head coach in 2007 after Saban bolted for Tuscaloosa

Would be a weird coincidence if he ended up as LSU's offensive coordinator

In 2007 the fins went 1-15 and they fired Cam. In 2008 they went 11-5..

Yes, well, the other weird coincidence would be that he was just fired from his job as OC because the teams fans turned against him due to an increasingly ineffective offense that was too conservative and uncreative, and did not adapt when defenses got wise to it.

Sound familiar?

It seems his best seasons were with San Diego where he had way more talent than Miami.

quote:

From 2002-2006, he served as the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers. In 2004, San Diego scored 446 points, third-highest in the NFL that year and the third-most in team history. Following the 2004 campaign, Sports Illustrated named Cameron its Offensive Assistant of the Year. In 2005, the Chargers averaged 26.1 points per game - good for fifth in the NFL in that category. In 2006, the Chargers offense amassed a team-record 494 points while paving the way for league MVP LaDainian Tomlinson to break the single-season touchdown record. In addition to Tomlinson, Cameron had the opportunity to work with Pro Bowl quarterbacks Drew Brees and Philip Rivers, as well as All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates in San Diego. He brought in former Hooiser Kris Dielman as left-guard.

Maybe he can do a lot more with Frank Wilson and company flooding LSU with grade A talent .

But this being labeled "predictable" has to scare the shite out of any LSU fan hoping for a real change in philosphy
