They're so against saying anything positive about Miles they're now propping up Crowton. It really is amazing to watch

Miles wanting to have a run first philosophy is not the problem. It's the insistence on running into 8 and 9 man boxes, it's the obvious tendencies based on our personnel and formations, and it's the refusal to try and take any risks in play calling unless we are following a turnover or great kickoff return. LSU could have Drew Brees at qb and we would still rank in the bottom half of Division 1 football offenses with the way we telegraph what play is coming.

plenty here only know run or pass. not what type or where on the field that play attacks or takes place. which plays a huge part in creativity and balance.

yep and lack of creativity and lack of attacking vertically and horizontally with runs and passes creating balance.

to them a great passing game is throwing slants and curls(which we did) while being predictable at the same time.

Well if we are #77 in total offense with ZACH METTENBERGER you don't think we would move up 17 spots?

Do you remember the pick 6 vs South Carolina? It was the 3rd time on that very drive that we tried to run a slant with a wide out. 3 times on one drive?!?! But yet, many fans want to blame Mett.

Yep, we were 112th with Jordan Jefferson.

How many quarterbacks do we blame before figuring out that our offensive system is broke?

Do you think there are 76 better quarterbacks in college football? Do you think that the 76 quarterbacks that led better offenses than Mett had better talent surrounding them?

I'm pretty sure that Drew Brees would just tell Stud and Miles to suck his balls and call his own plays in the huddle.

JJ = 4* QB (9th ranked QB in HS. iirc)

Lee = 4* QB (About the same as JJ, iirc)

Mett = #1 JUCO QB

The only QB worth a shite at LSU under Miles, got half his coaching from the previous staff.

these idiots here want to blame Lee, JJ, Mett, the receivers, the o line, the defense, everybody but the COACHING. It really is sad.

oh but our coaching is great we threw a go route and a fade today! to go with all the curls and slants and toss dives.

+1. Great point! A little unpredictability goes a long way. If LSU would just run the same plays out of a few different formations they would be much more successful. Also, don't call the same damn plays every time you're in the same place on the field. Don't call the same few plays by down and distance. Keep the defenses honest, and this offense could wreck shop with the talent LSU has on the field every year..

Said it before and I'll say again. I "think" that Cam Cameron will be the next OC at LSU depending on 3 things. (1) the jets don't snag him first (2) the money is right at LSU (3) cam is ready to recruit and do all the things that come with college coaching.
