I'm going to go over (barely) and this is not a joke. I love LSU & am a true fan but this team just got the hammer by 34 against a middle of the road ACC team.

Couple the lack of disciple with no coaching and it spells disaster.

Please Joe, throw millions at Gregg Marshall and don't leave his home until he agrees to be the next HC.

This team is atrocious. JJ is a joke. It's time to get out of the Dale Brown curse

Will be 9-9 and finish between third and fifth in the league.

Get real, guys. This was the first game on an opponent's floor, and yeah, we got hammered, but one game does not a season make. Wake Forest would be top 3-4 tier if they were in the SEC. They're a Fairly good good team, and played well at home.

just flush it, work on the defense, and move on. We are 8-3. Not bad on the surface.

I predict we will win anywhere from 7-11 games in the SEC.

Should the team win 20 games (including a couple in the SEC tournament), play well down down the stretch, and make the NIT or NCAA, Jones ain't going anywhere.

There it is, right on schedule; defending and accepting incompetence, negligence and medoiocrity.

have you watched any of their losses. There is zero improvement. You make these excuses in the first 2-3 games not 10 games into the season!!!

Sounds about right. I'd probably bet the over on this, but I would not be very confident. I actually think we will win five or six, but I could be just suffering from my usual pollyanna sunshine overoptimism.

This team is not good... but the SEC is not good at basketball either, so I'll say over.

You do not shoot 60% from the field and 16-26 3Pt FGs against a team that has any talent OR any desire to win OR any coaching. You do it against LSU, though.

work on the defense,

There is no hope for the defense. We lack motivation and coaching and, because of that, we'll never know if we even have the talent to play good defense.

What a stupid outlook. They could play the entire list of Louisiana junior high school teams and be 200-3, but so fricking what? Record means zero when you play a bunch of shite teams and lose in a blowout to every team you face that is even halfway decent.

7 might be an outside possibility if the SEC is really incredibly weak this year. We wouldn't win 11 of 18 games in some high school districts.

Technically, you're right. IF all of that happens, he won't be fired. Talking about it as if it's even remotely possible, however, is what made me .

Over.

Jones teams are bipolar, unfortunately. Jones is a good, but not great recruiter. He is a below average coach, IMO.

His record in a weak SEC and with relatively weak OOC scheduling has kept him at LSU.

But, with the debacle of last year and two very embarrassing losses this year, everyone knows that he is not a good coach.

Defense, rebounding, and keeping turnovers low are fundamentals. His teams too often lack one or more of these in most games. If you don't do these, I don't care what style of offense you play.

Sometimes, his teams run the offense they have installed. But, it often breaks down, players look lost or frustrated, and better defensive teams stymie us.

LSU can muddle on with Jones. He is not a championship coach IMO.

I would suggest that we should try to improve with new coaching leadership, knowing that a new hire does entail new risks. Until that time, I will suffer, yell, and have spikes of blood pressure every time they take the court.

The SEC is really bad. There are at least 3 teams worse than us and probably another 3 that are equally bad. I would guess 6 wins.

Probably over. There are terrible teams in the SEC like Tennessee, Mississippi State, Alabama, and Missouri. They'll win a few of those, and go over. They'll still be really really bad though and not win very many in conference. I'll say about 4-6 wins.

It is certainly an over. As it has been said, the SEC is awful. Johnny consistently finishes anywhere from 3 to 6 in this SEC. The team is athletic with some talent. The overall schedule is garbage. It is quite possible they receive another NIT bid this year. It is just the way it is and Johnny will be around a while doing this because it is satisfactory to the administration.

Because we stacked up wins against cupcakes as usual.

7 maybe, 11 no

We wont. And even winning 20 games isnt getting us into the tournament.

Over, and just because there are other SEC teams that are garbage, just like us.
