Out of the 5/5 guys, Notre Dame DE is easily at the most important position of need

And he's eligible, per the new SEC rules.

I feel like we should not put our necks out anymore for the Ole Miss guys. The DT is out of shape and coming off an injury (and has a poor behavioral history) and while Wright could be a weapon, we have a great TE and some decent depth there and a great WR room. We have weapons.

Sure, let the process play itself out, but I hope we don't push the envelope further for these guys.

Blast away.

It’s beyond embarrassing for the NCAA/SEC has all these things up in the air as the season is a week away.

But instead they put the burden on the individual teams and continue to leave everyone guessing.

Having dl depth is huge. Especially an older guy with a ton of experience. I know we love our freshman talent there, but that's not a position I'm super excited about being young there. It's a lot to ask those young guys to match the physicality of experienced older players.

I think Lane has played it perfectly; position yourself to get the players you want if the courts rule in your favor. If not, you’re back where you were all along.

Sure, but we aren't that thin at DT.

Dom is running with 1s now and Kiffin said a light turned on for him.

Dom (JR), Steph Green (JR from Clemson), Blocton (JR from Auburn), Richard Anderson, Deuce Geralds, Shone Washington.

It's not incredible, but it's not bad either. And I'm not sure Zxavian Harris will even contribute due to physical shape and injuries. Saints cut him with the quickness because he's hurt and fat.

Agreed, we have a great TE, but TDZ is not a conventional TE. DQW could really solidify a traditional blocking/pass catching TE as he can do both. Our other TE depth pieces are no where near what DQW would be.

I agree, I just don't want us to be the ones to drag it on or escalate further.

Train is in motion, let's take a step back and let the dust settle and if we get these guys, lagniappe, if not, I think we'll be ok.

The DE from Notre Dame is a great addition though.

We don’t have a true TE. That Ole Miss kid is a true TE

It’s also funny that he was openly trashing Lane like 6 months ago

I guess that's true, but I think Kiffin can make the true TEs effective that we do have. Not saying they're as good as Wright, but I just don't think we'll be in a bind without Wright.

We could've been in a bad spot at DE without that Notre Dame guy. I keep calling him that because I will butcher the name
