Our wideouts are too talented to let Jayden Daniels continue starting next year

I will always appreciate Daniels beating bama and he’s one of the best running qbs the university has ever had. However, we will never fully see how talented our wideouts are with him at qb. Too often guys have single coverage and Daniels flat out refuses to give them chances to make plays. He has no problem throwing them the ball when we’re playing cupcakes like UAB but anytime we play a real sec opponent especially on the road it’s like he forgets how good they are too often. The A&M game was the last straw for me his inconsistency as a passer will never change this is who he is

Are you saying you wouldn’t wanna see what a guy like walker Howard would look with our wideouts ? I’m not saying bench Daniels now obviously he’s gonna finish the year off as qb1 I’m simply talking about next year

If he lights it up and beats the number 1 team this saturday you still think his place is on the bench?

JD gave up those 275 rushing yards. The offense moved very well overall, the qb wasn’t the reason we lost that game.

I have no idea how good Walker will be in college. Him being a highly rated recruit doesn't inherently mean he will be a good college QB. Daniels was the #35 overall player and #1 dual-threat QB in his class fwiw, and high school recruiting rankings are all we know about Howard at this point.

Not a damn thing I’m a fan he has every opportunity to prove me wrong goin forward but rn I simply don’t believe in Daniels’ consistency as a passer

You couldn’t put this in one of the other 5500 threads that are on the same exact topic? What made you say, “hmm, my opinion trumps everyone on the board, so I’m gonna rehash the same topic again?”

Defense was abysmal against the run we all know that but the defense hasn’t been that awful stopping the run majority of the season . Daniels has mostly been inconsistent throwing the ball all season

Don’t the coaches already get to see that in practice?

So you wanna start a guy next year who hasn’t taken a meaningful snap yet?

You are going to get a lot of downvotes but I honestly agree with your frustration. I hope that he can grow into giving his WRs more chances to make plays instead of being conservative all of the time.

By now I would think romanticizing LSU's wide receivers wouldn't be a thing.

Surprising ro find out I'm wrong.

Our WR's are not markedly better than what Daniels played with at Arizona State.

No one is denying the struggles in the passing game. It was his first year in this system and in the SEC and lead the team to a 9-3 record. The bar has been set for BK in season 1, he didn’t come here to watch a freshman have a growing pains type season. We better hope he will develop in spring and summer as a passer.

They're also too talented to allow QBs play who don't give the team the best chance to win. I trust the coaches to make this decision.

I'm getting tired of everyone's emotional hand wringing.

As good as Joe Burrow was he got better and better the more he played. Daniels can improve as he works within this new system.
