Yeah and someone still needs to teach Ford and Hilliard how to pass block. they are both terrible. Ware is now the only credible pass blocker we have wiht Blue out.

I don't think the WRs are as a big of a problem as you suggest. Our biggest problems are OT (both left and right, as Hurst is awful in pass protection) and scheme. We ran into a nine man front all night on Saturday. I need to look up that stats on how many times we ran on 3rd and short and ended up in 4th and 1 or 2. Another major issue on Saturday was penalties. We took ourselves out of drives by stupid penalties.

This is all on the O-Line right now. With more consistent running and more time to throw, I'm pretty convinced that 90% of the WR issues go away. We are too predictable because of formations and player groupings to help out the O-Line. AU knew when we were going to pass and run after the first quarter because of this. All they have to do is watch down and distance, and look to see if Ware or Clement are on the field.

Below par Wrs hahahahhaha........really.

Teams would dream of having our group....just need reps cause for past 2 years qbs couldnt be accurate.
if they're not below par, then they are overrated, so choose one bc they are not performing at the moment.

would love to say otherwise, but that's the reality of it.

This has been the case for some time now. With all the guys the staff is trying to get on the field, it makes our offense fairly predictable. The same groupings run the same plays regularly it seems.

No it means you don't make ridiculous statements such as we have a coaching staff that can't fix the offense. What if they don't think it needs to be fixed? They have won 18 of last 19 with this "broken" offense. Think about how stupid that is.

I want to know when Alabama became the 1989 49ers. From what I've seen they basically run the same offense as we do.

I'm pretty sure I saw Hill go in just to pass block in the 4th QTR.

What do we know? We know the defense is still awesome even with the number of young guys out there. LSU has the best QB its had since Matt Flynn and going vertical with his arm more than a couple times a game could greatly enhance the run/pass game. Right now, LSU is not a very disciplined football team. Too many personal fouls and dead ball penalties; sure drive killers. The O-line has taken some hits but with Towson U coming in some guys get a little game experience to work on technique which will help down the line. Game management issues are still present but much much better overall and protecting the football is always a top priority.

When LSU goes to Florida in a couple weeks we will see if there is any improvement.

"I'm betting we see changes at LT."

This week, with a weak opponent, is a lot like a bye week and would be a perfect time to make some changes on the OL. Could Collins go to tackle?

They completed around 63% which ain't terrible. Mett threw to most of these guys (2s) last year anyway.
ODB didn't drop shite last year and Shep....well he's gonna get his drops, no matter who throws.

It is the same. Only difference is they have the best oline in the country and a QB with experience. McCarron had his struggles last year but they were hidden by great defense and running game....Mett just needs experience.

If they dont at least TRY someone else at LT we will drop at least one game because of the position alone.

How the frick can you say something this asinine? You have absolutely no clue if JD is the best option we have at LT, yet you know that we will lose one game because of his play unless we "try" someone else? Seriously?

Here is a thought - maybe JD is the best option we have at LT. Maybe Miles gets paid $4 million a year and he is not going to risk that on his "favorites" or his "BBQ buddies", but instead, he is going to play the players that give him the best chance of winning. Would that be hard to believe you fool?

This week is a perfect time to work on some pass blocking issues. JD was blocking one of the top 5 DEs in the SEC, and probably the country. Most of the time, he was doing it by himself. We can throw out some schemes and plays that give him some help against Clowney and Jones later on in the season, and Towson would be a great opportunity to work on that.

You did. Which is an indictment on how bad Ford and Hillard are at it.

How did that talent end up in Baton Rouge?

How has Miles split his games with Saban in the past? Surely an equally talented team with the best coach in CFB would steamroll a Miles coached team, right?

so who's fault is it for no OT talent or WR talent?
