Great......a liberal AND Miles hater.
Well, you've got your smooth/good talking president now.....good luck w/ that.
As for Miles........your spin is getting old.

You saw a lot of guys players get caught chasing the ball and taking themselves out of position.
I agree with that comment, but I think that had a lot more to do with blown secondary coverages. The ends and tackles rarely seemed to be out of normal position to make a play. The LBs were just a little inexperienced and as the season wore on they became less confident in each other and it seemed to unravel. With that being said, when there is a lack of confidence it creates a sense of panic with players trying to do too much and "ball chasing".

My point was strictly that our defensive players have struggled with chasing the ball all year long, maybe these types of drills (not necessarily option specific) would have been helpful a lot earlier than now.
The horse is dead, you can stop beating it now. We all know our defense wasn't very good this year. Way to start a thread about the GT game and turn it into another reduntant thread about how bad we were this year. I'm sure this must be the first time this season that they've run drills of this nature.
This one is just more specific to the option.

I think we can all acknowledge that GWB butchers the English language on a daily basis.

There is absolutely nothing arsey or clowny about Les Miles. He is human and makes mistakes, (co DC's for sure), but how he speaks is really not a problem. Some people who just can't make it through a day without slamming the guy just like to take certain things out of context and use them to support their distaste of the guy.
you are just buying into the "spin" that the haters like to spread all over the place. He was perfectly clear when he said he was staying at LSU this time last year. Didn't leave any question as to what he was saying. And these comments about how the defense is having to adjust and run different drills in repsonse to facing an offensive plan that we've ( nor has CFB in general)not seen, in some 10 years or so are perfectly intelligible, too.
Les Miles speaks as well to the press as any other coach in CFB, better than a lot of them, too. I started to save a ridiculous quote in the B'ham paper the morning after the SEC champ. game. It was King Saban himself, blathering on in a totally pointless quote that had no hope of ever being a complete sentence. Same reporter later in the article actually referenced another statement as being "gleened" from a long, rambling comment by the coach ( ref.: the actual comment was too convoluted to try and print in quote...)
What coach out there hasn't made poorly selected or spoken comments? None. I maintain that Les is better than the average.
What other fan base sits around on message boards full of terrible grammar and misspelled posts, pissing about the head coaches speaking abilities? I'm guessing few to none.
Sometimes LSU fans make me

How does a team practice against that on the field when you're entire team (including scout team) has no idea how to run it? I would love to see these upcoming practices.

WHO??? WHO the frick do you think does such an outstanding job with their pressers?
Who would you like the head coach of the LSU football team to speak like?
They are all talking out of their arse, trying to make up crap on the fly. They all mispeak, and don't tell the fans all the intricate details they want to hear. Are you telling me that out of 119 Div. one coaches, you think Les Miles is the worse speaker?
You need to get out more......

The quarterback has the ball at times and there are other pieces of the drill where he doesn’t have the ball. It’s really interesting (to practice against). You have to be really disciplined. You have to understand the call and you have to understand what your responsibilities are. We’re certainly not there now, but we sure are a lot further ahead than we were three days ago.”
I feel better already. Just as I did after the Mississippi State game when he assured us that he was aware of the problem and would fix it.

I get a kick out of Mile-speak and would love to hear him do a live broadcast.

Let me interpret this for you: I hate Nick Saban so much that I have convinced myself that our new coach (Miles) is better than Saban, and I will make ridiculous comments (see above) to back it up.

exactly.
les miles is not a good public speaker.
frick, I feel like i'm taking crazy pills when I come on the rant sometimes.

doc just drink up the koolaide. Miles is the best coach ever and the best public speaker its clear nothing is miles fault at all and he is good at everything.
Its one extreme to the other on here. Miles is either at fault for everything or he is the greatest at everything.
