Our AD has hired a new Volleyball coach, so who's next?

I think if we don't get a hitting coach in softball, He may be looking in that direction! Is there another coach that is falling behind? I had followed Softball for years instead of Baseball but Scott has me tied to my TV in every sport LSU.

Torina has established LSU as a Top 10 program in softball and brought them to more WCWS than all other LSU coaches combined. If he could pry away the coach at Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, Florida St or Michigan like he did with Kim Mulkey that would make sense. Otherwise, I don’t necessarily see the need to make a move.

Torina has LSU as a top 15 program ever year. They need to elevate the hitting though to ever win a SEC championship and to make runs to OKC more often.
Torina is fine but there should probably be increased pressure on Dobson for some of the hitting issues.

Yes, certainly there are limitations in the program that keep them from being at Florida and Alabama’s level. I don’t know enough about softball to know how much is lack of player development vs. not having a natural recruiting base to attract top hitting prospects. This may be the ceiling for the program absent hiring a Top 5 coach.
