Our 2023 Football Schedule is the best I’ve seen in years

If we beat Florida State in week 1 I just don’t see how we aren’t 8-0 going into Bama. I think we will be favored in every game but FSU(They are currently favored by 1) and Bama(8.5)
Week 1: Sept. 3 at Florida State (in Orlando)
Week 2: Sept. 9 vs. Grambling
Week 3: Sept. 16 at Mississippi State
Week 4: Sept. 23 vs. Arkansas
Week 5: Sept. 30 at Ole Miss
Week 6: Oct. 7 at Missouri
Week 7: Oct. 14 vs. Auburn
Week 8: Oct. 21 vs. Army
Week 9: BYE
Week 10: Nov. 4 at Alabama
Week 11: Nov. 11 vs. Florida
Week 12: Nov. 18 vs. Georgia State
Week 13: Nov. 25 vs. Texas A&M

The schedule does tee up nicely for us. Coaches simply have to ensure the defense can lock down a high powered FSU offense, and the offense should score effectively.
The hiccups could come from the stylistically different offenses of Auburn and Army. However, I expect Auburn to struggle, and expect the coaches to have the team wholly prepared for the triple option.

LSU getting 8.5 when Bama doesn't even know who their QB is? I'll take that all day.
Which book?

Had no idea Grambling was on the schedule this year. That is awesome

I’m just glad we aren’t playing Arkansas in November anymore.

Does Fla State get a warm up game before our match up again?

At Ole Miss is a trap

Kiffins lack of recruiting is catching up to them

Don’t think you can say any Sec matchup is a trap game. These games are all extremely hard fought games

Yep. UF right after playing Bama is an even bigger trap.

Flip Ole Miss and Florida and it's a proper schedule

Best in terms of favorability. Not best necessarily in terms of entertainment value. That 2011 schedule with Oregon and West Virginia was probably that...until next season when LSU opens with USC in Las Vegas before playing UCLA at home 3 weeks later. LSU also gets Alabama at home.
Over the last two decades the odd years have always seemed to favor LSU more than the even years. 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2019. Mostly that has been because LSU gets Auburn, Florida, Arkansas and (since 2012) A&M at home. It's always an advantage to play Auburn, Florida and A&M at home. Same for Arkansas considering LSU has generally struggled up there. While they have won a few here and there, LSU has generally owned the Mississippi schools on the road.
The fact that LSU plays Alabama on the road in the odd years would seem to defeat the argument of the odd years being favorable...until you realize LSU is often better at Alabama than playing them at home.
The only thing missing from LSU being a lock for the championship game this year is the game not being in New Orleans. But perhaps a semi-final game being there and the championship game being in nearby Houston is good enough

We were underdogs to Bama last year and beat them. We were favored over FSU and TAMU, yet we lost to them. I can see at least four losses, not including FSU, before we play Bama. Or we might beat all of them. But none of it is guaranteed, except we won't lose in weeks 2, 8 or 9.

As long as Fsu doesn’t have a week zero again.

They don't currently have one scheduled, but you never know.

that's not such an advantage, we weren't prepared, didn't really have a "team" at that point and got slapped around for over three quarters, still almost pulled it out

This! They get the benefit of the doubt far too often. They are still a great football program but they aren’t as dominant and people are catching up. This year will be very telling.
