It's been said that we make our championship runs every 4 years. 2015 was halfway between 2011 and 2019. This was the year that really did Les Miles in. 9-3 is not a bad record, but when you have...

Leonard Fournette
Derrius Guice
Brandon Harris
Darrel Williams
Malachi Dupre
Travin Dural
DJ Chark
Trey Quinn
John Diarse
Jamal Adams
Kendall Beckwith
Jalen Mills
Deion Jones
Tre'Davious White
Donte Jackson
Russell Gage
Arden Key
Will Clap

9-3 is an atrocity. Also note this was the year Jake Coker was the QB at Bama and Derrick Henry won the heisman over Fournette. Jsut painful to think about

16' was worse, and they lost 4 games. That was a national championship caliber team

2016 was GOAT status choking. Almost a Texas sized let down

I wouldnt call it choking. Les Miles' offensive philosophy finally caught up with him. I still don't get why he didn't change his ways after 2015 and fire Cam Cameron. The guy must have had serious ego issues to be that stubborn.

I maintain to this day that Brandon Harris was one of the most talented QBs to play at LSU. Do you remember his freshman year in that mississippi state game? He was on fire. You have to have a coaching staff that will develop your skills and set you up for success. Les Miles put flip flops on his QBs and told them to go win a footrace.

I don't know about "one of the most talented QBs at LSU" but he was definitely more talented than his production reflected (As was Jennings, Lee, and even Mett). I would've definitely loved to see that team under the tutelage of 2019's offensive coaches.

2012 easily. almost same roster as 2011 with Mett at QB and Jeremy Hill. seemed like the team lost a step without Honey badger

Brandon Harris was extremely talented and had comparable skill set to Desean Watson, however the comparison ends there. Harris couldn't read defenses or make decisions.
You can only develop what is within the capabilities of an individuals and an extremely small amount of people have the abilities to process the information required to be a big time QB

This. Too many nfl guys on that team. 2015 was just a younger 2016 team.

Leonard Fournette
Derrida Guice
Malachi Dupre
Travis Dural
Ethan Pocic
Will Clapp

Arden Key
Davon Godchaux
Devin White
Kendall Beckwith
Duke Riley
Tre White
Donte Jackson
Jamal Adams

Bets teams to never win a national title for LSU in my lifetime:

1) 2011
2) 2006
3) 2016

Because Jacob Coker, Matt Mauck, Blake Sims, Greg Mcleroy and Chris Leak were world beaters.

2016 LSU had no business of losing 4 games imho.

Any semblance of an offense and we absolutely make the playoffs.

2016 had almost as many kids go to NFL training camps as this recent team will have.
