Wouldn't shock me at all if Canada wants out

With that being said, I wouldn't be devastated if Canada leaves. Disappointed yes, but its not the end of the world.

The offense has been good, not great this year, and there are plenty of OCs out there that can do better or at the very least duplicate the results we've seen this year.

This. The more concerning item is the apparent toxic atmosphere that our head coach is creating.

This is such a dumb criticism, let me ask you this:

What HC is successful with inferior coordinators?

Not sure Canada has been given a fair shake. if Eaux made him run a different game plan for Troy, well....then Eddie is a full on football retard. Canada leaving can produce nothing good for LSU.

Just about every coach minus saban and Urban rely on coordinators.

Jimbo runs his offense, Smart runs his defense, Harbough runs his offense, Chip Kelly runs his offense, Patterson runs his defense..... I could go on and on and on. A vast majority of successful coaches run one side of the ball and have an idea on what they want to do on that side of the ball.

Hanagriff and Ott have never let logic get in the way of a good rumor. Canada would be shooting himself in the dick financially and from a reputation standpoint if he left again after one year. I've also read that the reported issues where way overblown. Never say never I guess.

You're missing the point. Most coaches only have to really worry about hiring and keeping a coordinator to take care of one side of the ball, not both.

Let me ask you a question, who is TCU's defensive coordinator? Do you think it matters? TCU's defense is made by Gary Patterson no matter who the DC is. Same with Saban's defense, Urban's offense, Kelly's offense, etc.

Those coaches rely on 1 elite coordinator. We have to rely on 2 because our HC has never called plays on EITHER side of the ball and has no experience running an offense or defense.

I assume one of those should be Herman. Also, Saban finished seconds from winning it all last year. Not sure Smart was the key to that particular operation.

Literally 90% of the fanbase wanted to do the same thing. I wish I could go back and find all the posts bitching about all of the motion and begging to simplify it and just run the ball.

I'll take Enos all day long.

That being said an insider on a paid board said he thought he'd be back last week

His buyout is pretty massive. I would imagine LSU would eat it if the feeling is mutual, though.

That's dumb, though. The fanbase is by and large not experts on coaching. The experts on coaching should know what to do. The fact that they side with the persons who are decidedly not experts is alarming.

O admitted he asked for things to be simplified. Did you see what the offense looked like in the first half vs Troy? It was more basic than most high school teams. Cam and Les had more variety in their offenses.

Canada isn’t going anywhere unless he leaves on his own accord and forfeits the buyout.

While I wouldn't prefer Canada leaving I'm wouldn't be too upset. His offense has been a nice change from Les but nothing world changing.

So? Looks like we got similar results from our head coach doing so.
