They won’t have proof, they’ll just say a source told them that’s what he was asking. Nothing will come of this.

I want to like their podcast but they try so fricking hard with their insider BS and it’s cringeworthy.

Haven't listened to this podcast, but I'll tune into that episode since they dropped this bomb

They can't out him for this. If he was asking for money this time, it's pretty obvious he got money to come to LSU in the first place.

Why is it so obvious LSU gave him money?

He sounds like a trailblazer who has figured out that new transfer rules means his “contract” is a short-term deal and periodically renegotiable.

This problem gets solved one of three ways:
1. The black market for the services of “amateur” athletes gets brought into light and is properly regulated.
2. The NCAA goes back into enforcement mode, like the early 90’s when even the mighty and profitable franchises weren’t above sanctions for rules violations.
OR...
3. The black market does what most black markets do and polices itself. I really hope it doesn’t come to this because I don’t want to see what kind of retribution schemes spurned boosters can concoct.

Don’t be naive. The kid was supposed to be choosing between UGA and Bama and then chose us out of left field.

Then didn’t like it here so he left.

He didn’t choose us cuz we were his dream school, it’s cuz we paid more.

Seriously?

Do you really think he signed at LSU for free but then demanded $400k to return?

That's only $11,428 per reception. Or $200K per touchdown. Let's be glad this cancer is gone.

Not really. I'm sure he had a lot of perks for coming here, but it doesn't mean he was paid to come here initially.

Unless this person breaking this story just hates LSU and doesn't want to have any access to further info in the future.

You’re being willfully ignorant at this point. If there were reasons other than money to come here, he wouldn’t have quit mid season and then asked for more money to come back.

The guys breaking the story have proven that they are clout chasers that care more about breaking stories than anything else. The same reason they didn’t let PM announce his own retirement or let TJ Finley announce his own transfer. They just want to break the story no matter who they disrespect along the way.
