The LSU Tigers haven’t been fundamentally sound in years. No plate discipline, no working of counts, the catching, fielding and knowledge of the game is absent. Paul has a way to win but fundamentally sound ain’t it.

Don't know why you're getting downvoted because this is spot on and not really debatable. Doesn't mean Maineri doesn't know how to win.

Because LSU is 10th in fielding percentage this year.

Eta: That's in the NCAA, not the SEC.

This really ticks me off. Should I refer to him as a pompous, "progressive" a$$hole that runs his mouth without any clue of what he speaks? Perhaps he can attain the "civility and respect" virtues he so espouses should he bother to educate himself by spending time with some of the "southern rednecks" that will soon be visiting. I guess ignorance is also a "virtue".

I will say I appreciate his service and hope he gets treatment for his anger issues against southerners because he is clearly triggered. Hope he can find his safe space so he doesn't completely melt.
Bless his heart!

There it was a put down aimed at people of color by southern rednecks. And yes, I was stationed in the south and overseas and heard it from your ilk everywhere. It demeans you, not anyone else by lowering yourself to this kind of discourse. Civility and respect is a virtue that may be elusive to "y'all" but you can attain it if you want.

And now I hate em.

Putting this kind of real effort into being a cock sucker, in my opinion, makes you a legitimate cock sucker.

What does baw mean?

I've never heard the term before. I've lived in Oregon my entire life but my great grandma was from Louisiana.

I have no idea what it means in the real world, I'm only 27 so it may have been used before my time, but it's something I've seen used more on this site than anything as slang for just a good ole boy.

IMO, it's something I'd use when referring to the guys I hunt/fish with than anything else. Not sure why people are jumping to some conclusion that it's a derogatory term

Maybe I'm completely wrong though.

It's fairly new, as I don't remember it when I was growing up. There's nothing at all perjorative about it.

I thought Oregon St would be unbeatable..

but look at their schedule

LINK

They have dropped some series to PAC teams, and they lost their last game.. and even before that.. the games were close.

It's definitely not derogatory towards minorities, as it is a term white guys call other white guys on a message board. I'm sure it didn't originate here but it's the only place I see it.

It could almost be thought of as the 20 something white guy's version of the n-word same way black people use the n-word about each other. But nobody will get offended if a black guy sings it when singing a song.

We've had games where we look amazing and unbeatable and our first round talent is firing on all cylinders (the first two games against Stanford, and some others), and we've also had a few games where we've been obliterated by bad teams and look horrible.

At this point I don't think any beaver fan would be even the slightest bit surprised if we sweep right through without breaking a sweat, or alternatively if we lose the first two games because our bats go cold. We've seen both this year.
