but there is no guarantee that that talent is here without Miles.
Rick, you know that statement is BS. We all know that LSU recruits itself. At least it did under Miles.
Now, Saban and Orgeron have both had to recruit their asses off, because their great recruiters, but Miles, come on, LSU recruited itself during the Miles tenure.
I know this is a fact because so many posters have said so. I don't think they would make shite like that up.

Really? The goal post have been moving like crazy since O took over. LSU was the most talented team in college while Les was here. Now, we are young, inexperienced, not very talented. LSU loss out on seven of the top ten high school seniors from Louisiana this year. If that had happened a year ago, some would be having a cow. Now, no big deal. While Les was here, ten wins didn't mean shite. Now, tens wins will be a successful season. While Les was here, every loss was because of coaching. Now, we cant blame a 14 point Florida dog loss on coaching. It was player execution.
It shouldn't matter this year because LSU will win ten to eleven games with ease. Of course, O cant really get much credit for that because he will be using the Les talent until 2020. Right!

I don't think anyone disagrees that a better tactician wouldve won more than Miles with that talent
And this is why half the fan base disliked the guy.

And routinely underachieved with that talent and had juniors defect in large numbers (some because they saw the direction of the program under shite-for-brains) and ran a boring, one-dimensional offense with neglected or overlooked skill players (TEs for one)
....but yea, the talent was there.

But yet won more games overall than any other SEC program for the first time in LSU history and played in as many NCGs as any SEC school not named Alabama.
Lets hope O can underachieve like that.

Heavy sigh, there is so much BS in this statement and sadly by pointing it out I will be accused of being a "Miles lover" this disconnect from reality is why people hate him, but here goes
I'm not sure is meant by most talented team while Les was here but I assume it is reference to the factoid that LSU had the most total players in the NFL the last couple of years. The problem with looking at the total is all those players were not on the team at the same time. Each year is a different roster. The seasons where Les had the most talent on the roster (look at the drafts following those seasons) he did very well 05-07 and 10-12.
It is also worth noting that since the 2010 draft (after 2009 season) Alabama has had more guys drafted and significantly more 1st rounders.
As for the Jrs leaving early because of the direction of the program this is laughable nonsense made up on message boards to suit the narrative of some fans. The majority of the early entries in 2012-2014 drafts (the ones with the most defections) were either first round picks (Reid, Brokers, OBJ) or RS Jrs i.e. 4 year guys (Mingo also a top 10 pick, Logan, Minter who had graduated) are some examples. The players overwhelmingly speak well of Miles despite what fans think.

yea, but last 3+ years, with all that talent, Miles went 15-11 in the SEC, 10-10 against the West.
That's underachieving, my man.

The talent dropped (obviously on the coach) but yes, that's why he is no longer here nor should he be. Clearly under achieving since 2012.

Above feats were all accomplished under different OCs,and he has best win % in LSU FB history so if Miles is "shite-for-brains", what is your derogatory term for the 30 other LSU FB coaches behind him?

If some would only understand this instead of making excuses for him......

I posted the production difference it's not close. If all you're gonna do is make false claims and accuse me of things I didn't do that's fine it just shows you have no counter point and have been reduced to making things up. This is a tea curing theme with you anytime coaching is discussed. You inject Miles into the convo then proceed to lose your mind. Your obsession with him is at the least unhealthy.

My Friend.... Calm Down...... Question... Would you rather have 5 yards of total offense and WIN the game,,, Or have 500 plus yards of offense and lose??????
Posted on 7/31/17 at 5:58 pm to dukke v
Not upset just don't like ppl telling porky pies about me. And of course I'm taking the win.

I am getting to the point that Ricky is just anymore fun to talk with... A broken fricking record and all he does is defend Miles... He is gone...
Yet he will do everything he can and say the same crap over and over about bashing what O has done since he has been here... Now If he wants to bash the Hire??? No problem... I tend to agree... But t go overboard at every opportunity to bash O in any kind of way. shows me he wants O to Fail and I assure you that if I could get A camera in his house or wherever he is watching the 1st game he will be cheering for BYU. JUST TO SAY he was right,,,
That's the kind of lowlife the dude is..................

What we've seen at LSU so far is all talk. I'll wait until we see what he can actually produce.
Posted on 7/31/17 at 6:15 pm to dukke v
He like any Miles apologist is worried that if a coach like O wins here it proves Miles wasn't the great coach they believe him to be. These ppl have a self made equation in their minds of what a good coach is but the truth is they have no idea what makes a good coach.

My post was pure sarcasm Groupee. I said all that in jest to needle the crowd that has claimed LSU recruits itself since Miles took over.

Which proves that LSU doesn't recruit itself. No matter who the head coach is.
Your entire post is 100% correct. Well done Groupee!
