admitted 2008-2010 had horrid years.
2010 was actually very good, 2009 wasn't terrible. Went 11-2 In 2010
But struggled vs Mcneese
But I'm not going to judge a team based on struggling to get up for an FCS school...
shite happens, you improve and move on

Just meant the offense production.
I overstated miles struggling against scrub defenses.

I guess he was blind to Fournette, Guice, et al.
Prescriptions change, I guess.
Whatever.

It wasn't great but maybe the toughest team Miles put out there. Despite offensive limitations they found ways to win. Two losses were by 8 and 7 pts.

Say what you will about O, he’s at least willing to make changes.
I know people like to blame E, but Orgerons decision to build a new offense despite some limitations was the primary issue fomuch of the year. Definitely saw changes late in the year but out did struggle early
I do feel better coming into this year though and hope the staff sticks with it even if there's times of struggling

So we finally have a 15 year old old Pac 12 offense!

You feel free to bash the players in an attempt to remove blame from O and the scheme. Its what you do.
If you call pointing out which positions need to improve and what they need to do to improve bashing players then I bash players. I call it being honest. This is football and it isn't for pussys. I guarantee that the players are aware of their limitations and are working to do better. You act like these players are fragile like ballerinas.
If you can't identify weaknesses and state what needs to be done to get better how can you expect anyone to get better?

Miles had less trouble moving the ball at will against scrubs.
That's because his approach was 100% "I'm simply going to outman you".
Which, yields very consistent results when you actually have the best players on the field.
His problem was a near complete inability to scheme to take advantage of opposing weak areas or deal with opposing areas where THEY outmanned him.
You know I didn't support the O hire, but the jury is still out at this point as to whether or not O is at least willing to TRY and out scheme the other sideline.

I personally Think O is willing to try anything to win. My issue is that he seems to be throwing shite at the wall and seeing what sticks.
You can say “this is the offense I alwady wanted” but the hires make you wonder if he has any idea what thenoffense is.
Canada- not an RPO spread guy
E/Sullivan - hiring 2 guys with the average age of 65 to run a modern spread offense is perplexing
E/Brady- Brady finally makes the most sense.

You hired Canada and flat didn't like theTYPE of offense he ran which is just odd.
Then you hire a guy who has NEVER run an offense like you say you'd like to see
LSU isn't supposed to be an on the job training location.

I see Canada as a big name he didn’t very properly from both a football and personality standpoint or a guy he wasn’t committed to.
I see Last year as a case of picking the people he liked and hoping the football would work itself out.
Brady is the first hire that’s made real sense besides Cregg. He spent a lot of time reworking in zone balcokinf schemes which is important

Orgeron just now: “I finally see the offense I want”
Does this mean we finally put points on the board against Bama and give them a game as opposed to shitting the bed and being frightened of them like normal?
It better, otherwise Ed will be despised more than Alleva and FKA.

I'm not 100% anti-O but the dude needs to start fricking remembering he's coaching at LSU........not some NAIA school. Save the "learning" and "hope" for schools that can't hire proven commodities

I thinknif This works we’re in a good position going forward.
The whole “OC in waiting” idea didn’t make a lot of sense outside a very specific candidate.
Brady might be that guy. 28 is young. No experience at OC. Even in a best case scenario where LSU’s offense explodes, We can probably keep him 1-2 years of real success before he gets poached or we have to make him full OC.

Yep
Honestly, I'm cautiously optimistic about next season. I think Burrow could very possibly pull a Mettenberger plus mobility. And, I think the defense has potential to be very good albeit I'm still not sold on our DL.
I have two big concerns still.
1. I'm VERY worried about QB in 2020. I think it could be another post Mett train wreck. In fact, I think that is VERY possible.
2. This season MUST bear fruit for O offensively or I could see us cratering on that side of the ball in a way that would be irrecoverable from short of ANOTHER coaching change at HC
And, while I wasn't happy with the O hire, I think his failure at this point could result in a VERY long road to recovery. So, I have to hang my hat on the possible positives

How do you people continue to fall for this every year. Literally every year this shite comes out in the media and we see the same exact junior high offense. You will not see a change in the offense people, stop being so gullible.

The offense at the end of last season was nothing similar to the offense of 2005-2016.

1. I actually Like Brennan. The weight issues are overstated. I’ve seen 180 point WR get laid out and not crumble into pieces. He should be be getting rocker 20 times a game in the first place. In a good system he will flourish.
2. If We aren’t good on offense this year there are gonna be some Major changes. Probably not O, but The Offenwive staff for sure.
I like Brady though. He reminds me of Aranda the way people talk about him. Cerebral in love with the game. The only knock is experience, and he’s not expected to carry the complete leadership load all at once. I have to say, I love the thoughtnpricesss behind the hire and I havent Said that a lot.
