If I were Coach O, every time someone criticizes my voice, I’d just reply with:

“You’ll be hearing it for a while, so get fricking used to it.”

Bobby Hebert has a thicker Cajun accent than Coach O, and everyone seems to understand HIM.
It's people being lazy assuming that a deep, gruff voice somehow magically = an accent. Bullshyte

This all day, Bobby Hebert has kept his accent pretty well intact, it’s not nearly as thick as people that live on Bayou Lafourche, but there’s still enough nuance and it’s flat enough that he still sounds like Bayou Lafourche to me. Coach O does not, he still sounds Louisiana, but not at all like Bayou Lafourche, CoCo on the other hand

FWIW ... I call him the shrimp boat captain all the time. I also call Joe Burrow, "Big Dick Joe" sometimes. Both are meant as endearment, but I probably wouldn't say either to their face. That would just be weird.

Honestly the media who mocked him for his heritage should have been fired.

bullshite. Orgeron is a big personality. And he sounds funny as hell. The media love him. They can’t get enough of him.
