I think you've been blowing on that wooden train horn too damn much and caused some brain damage.

Here at LSU it appears that Orgeron was a better coach in his very first (9-4) season here at LSU than Saban was in his 3rd (8-5) season at LSU.
If you honestly believe this, you're dumber than I originally thought.
quote:
HOLY shite!! just was double checking that fact to see if maybe Wikipedia was lying and discovered that Saban went 5-3, 5-3, 5-3, and 7-1 in the SEC in his 4 years at LSU while Coach Orgeron went 6-2 in the SEC in his very first season!!!
You didn't KNOW that Saban lost 3 conference games per year before the 2003 NC season? Were you not a fan during the Saban years?
And let's just forget the state of the program when Saban was the coach as opposed to when your idol o took over.

All aboard the Orgeron express.
That's okay, I'll walk. The o express is more likely to become a train wreck then to make into the station unscathed.

Time for all you lost sheep to return to the fold and try to be tigers once again.
In my opinion willie, the folks you view as "lost sheep" are more LSU fans than you numbskulls that are trying to convince everyone that the program is in good ahnds.

You are by giving him credit for not being a total disaster.
No, i'm not. Maybe I think he was a bad coach, maybe I think he was a very good coach. When I say it wasnt a disaster, thats all that I mean. Dont make things up by insinuating things.

Last season wasn’t a disaster, but it wasn’t a step forward either. It was just a bunch of nothing, and possibly a wasted year given the Canada situation. No progress was made.
And I agree with you on this. Except that alot of young players got alot of experience. There were also a few redshirts, a few transfer sit-outs, and youngins waiting their turn. In that way, I think last year was extremely progressive. But to look at the wrapping paper , yeah, the season was pretty blah.
One thing though, I enjoyed watching the Tigers take the field. Regardless of whether Curly Hallman, Nick Saban or Orgeron are coaching, I will always get chills when the Tigers take the field.

And Goldrush, if Orgeron steers the plane into a mountain, I'll be the first to throw gas on the burning plane. But he didnt hit a mountain, he took a sputtering airplane, patched it up and flew it into a pretty decent football season
We were only sputtering in the first place because of him.

So he doesn't get any blame for forgetting to change the oil or put gas in the plane which made it sputter in the first place?
Of course he gets the blame, but he never hit that mountain.
And the Fletch gif made me laugh. ha ha ha ha

He didnt get fired that season. His Point is still valid.

That' the beauty of it justice. It's all done to keep the opposing coaches guessing.
I'll tell ya, o and his offensive staff are a bunch of motherfricking geniuses.

Congrats boxcar. I’m not reading any of this nonsense but you got what you wanted, so good for you.

ha ha ha. of course, but I just wanted to see if you had a choice. It was a very strange and very important play in many ways.
Although, T-Bob saved the day by snapping the ball, thereby drawing the penalty... I really loved Ridley's heart that year, and he said "Coach, give me the ball...I want to win!" (paraphrased of course).
I loved it!

Very true, (although I do have a more realistic argument, but I'll let you have it) Very true. But he didnt hit the mountain. He landed in a rice field full of crawfish traps somewhere near Crowley. There was a huge party afterward.

How is a thread with a premise so massively ignorant still going?
Posted on 4/26/18 at 4:53 pm to ThePaleHorse
So, what do you think would happen to a pilot if he flew a plane dangerously close to the mountain and scared the shite out of the passengers even if he salvaged a landing in a field?

Somehow I find it more entertaining than what's been going on. Anything to move on from dissecting and discussing the spring game.

Oh you mean like Sully, the guy who flew a whole plane load of people into the Hudson River. He's an American Hero now.
But seriously, coaching a football team and doing fly-by's near a mountain are very different when it comes to coming close to failing. Every football coach comes extremely close to failing every play, every game, every season. In this analogy it only matters if you land that plane.
In the Nat Champ game, the red team had a sputtering plane, and then the pilot changed some parts and flew that plane into history. It only matters if you land the plane.
Orgeron landed the plane 9 times and killed all passengers 4 times. Against Troy, he was the pilot of the Marshall football team plane. Against Auburn he was Sully.
I'm hoping his pilot decisions get better and his plane is in better shape next season.

Freauxzen--
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
