So he gets the low strike call

This hippie ump obviously has two different strike zones.

1 foot outside to dups? sure, strike 1

does Hess realize that you can get outs besides strikeouts?
He's not exactly a guy who pitches to soft contact.

it is OBVIOUS this umpire has an agenda. Right handed Hess throws a slider that is caught on the corner and this lefty throws a pitch off the plate outside and gets the call?

That last swing was Zach Wilson. We are still waiting to see Zach Watson swing

What you swinging at?

Pretty sure? he’s a completely different pitcher as a starter vs out of the pen. He’ll never start a game at the next level.
Pretty sure you missed the sarcasm.

Watson's swing was 2018 in a nutshell.

MLB effort there from Zach.

The problem isn’t the umps or Hess as long as the strike zone is the same for both teams. The problem is they’re better than us period. I’m a PM fan, but he has made some bonehead moves these past two years. From the CWS last year to this year’s lineup.
However - as to pulling Hess, it’s only one game and he knows he has to save whatever he has left in the pen for the rest of the regional I’m assuming. He does have a good knack for tournament baseball.
I don’t know if coaches do this in baseball but maybe he’s playing for next year?? Do they do that? I say that because he has better hitters with better on base % potentially on the bench than the ones performing in the field (though Broussard was money early).

Hitters saw Gilbert go out to warm up so they're giving up too

We just don’t look like we are into this game
