I don't think you will be as stout as Auburn, specifically in the interior.

Then you better plan on really exploiting that with your three new interior starters. Because even if we concede that point this defense will be better in every other area than the defense you saw against Auburn.

Oregon is a very good program. only an idiot would say different.

Having said that, the author of that article clearly has purple and gold penis envy. He lost me when he said..

For a while now the SEC and ESPN have the country convinced that this game is a foregone conclusion, that all LSU has to do is prance out with Tiger pride and the Ducks will collapse

Most articles I have read have said just the opposite. Hell, even the odds makers are/were on Oregon's side.

Is this guy even an actual journalist??

One of guards has 2 years af start and the other guard has 17 appearance in games with meaningful snaps. Between Brockers, Downs, Logan and Freak, you don't have near that experience. Of course, I think experience is more important on the oline.

As someone giving a guy a hard time in another thread about his grammar you need to be better than this.

2 years of start what? 17 appearance? Experience is definitely more important on the OL, but Brockers and Downs have both been in the regular rotation during their time here. Brockers had as many tackles last year as one of the lost starters at DT. Downs has been in the rotation since game 1 of his freshman season, his issue has just been staying healthy. In game #1 that shouldn't be a big issue.

Josh Downs has 22 appearances
Brockers has 13 appearances and 1 start (Bama) and 25 tackles. And that is meaningful time. He was our 3rd DT in our rotation last year.

I am usually never a grammar nazi because I punch these out so quick that I am prone to mistakes. However, with Sammy's post, I really didn't know if he meant he was going to be the man or if we didn't know how good he is.

York has 2 years of starts and Golpshin has 17 non-starting appearances (he was in on a lot of meaningful drives). Yes, I am aware of Brockers and his production. From what I have been told and see in production, Downs doesn't have a lot of meaningful experience (injuries or not).

From what I remember reading on Downs, his appearances were in garbage time.

I'm not reading all of this shite but I KNOW most Oregon fans can't be stupid enough to think they are going to hang 40 on LSU

My mistake there. I was under the impression only your tackles were returning starters. Did you lose a tackle, or did you only lose two starters?

Asper 24 starts (right tackle)
York 22 starts (left guard)
Weems 8 starts (left tackle)
Cody 1 start (right guard)

I think Cody won't win the right guard spot. That will either go to Golpashin or Clanton.

I punch these things out too, man. (NAILED THAT COMMA)

No Downs had some pretty decent reps, his only concern is his durability. He is a penetrator. I also think there is no way Oregon is gonna be used to the kind of speed our ends will bring to outside run defense, or the strength our CB will bring defending the outside run.

Both of Arizona's DE went in the first two rounds. It's a misnomer that we don't face talented ends.

Also, our ends will give us plenty of practice. Jordan was a WR converted to DE. Hanna is converted MLB. Besides, the last two years our defense has lined up against Kenny Rowe.

Armstrong has appearences but no starts. However, Grasu, our redshirt frosh, seems to have the position locked down. Armstrong's starts were against garbage teams.

Holmes pretty much took all the snaps. York has practiced center and the coaches have said he would slide there if our 3 competing for the spot aren't ready.
