Who has opted out this year? I’ll wait.

There has been none.

It’s a massive recruiting tool. The ideal way to get around it is to recruit at an elite level at every position every year. Which is incredibly difficult to do.

show me a college football program as plagued as this one with opt-outs

Not sure.. but every program in the country will take our situation over there schools except for Clemson & Al. LSU has won 3 NCs in the last 20 years.

I'm not sure O or Miles or other coaches could, I suspect it will touch Saban before too long. Transfer and opt outs will start burning through college football. The Dr Pepper commercial even is making fun of it.

I still think the biggest beneficiaries in terms of schools have not been identified yet for NIL.

You aren't wrong about this happening at LSU at a high clip, but at the same time, I can't be mad at a kid for ensuring they don't endanger generational wealth over playing another season of college football.

If they go out there and get hurt, they get a couple posts on TD by the fans talking about how unfortunate it is, then they are forgotten.

Stop by telling them how great they are before actually performing on the field.

Make them prove it over the course of the season.

Ricks just indirectly "opted out". Would he have opted out if we were 6-0?

Why do people keep using that term. It’s not applicable anymore. The term was created to give a term to a guy that’s deciding not to play in a season that won’t count against his eligibility. This season counts so if they don’t play then it’s not opting out.

No, because it’s not worth getting the surgery now if we’re playing for something, he would have gotten it in the off season if he made it that far without needing surgery. Now, he will for sure be ready and healthy for next season wherever that is
