I'm a Ravens fan as well and I agree with much of what was written. The criticism of Cam got to the point where it was simply irrational and I really think it was a driving force in getting him hired because the owner got tired of listening to fans bitching. Those same fans forgot who brutal that offense was when he first got there and how much they loved him when he first got there. They also conveniently forget that they were a dropped Lee Evans pass away from going to the Super Bowl last year.

who knows; NFL and college are two completely different games as far as coaching goes. Just look at the misadventures of Saban.

Nice to hear..

"He relies a lot on pass catching running backs and the tight end position."

Very few WRs can be productive when the defense can ignore HB/TEs in the passing game.

"Remember, it was Cameron who turned an unheralded former basketball player and undrafted free agent into a Pro Bowler (Antonio Gates). In Baltimore, he relied heavily on Todd Heap, and then transitioned into the Pitta era. DeSean Smith should be giving high fives right now"

I'm not a Ravens fan, but a huge NFL fan and what makes me excited is the production of RBs. He was there during the heart of LT's career and Ray Rice's. Two of the best all purpose backs of all time. With our stable of backs I have a feeling they will be use more then just run up the gut!

Furthermore he has years upon years of experience. Hopefully during a game if he notices something is not working he can make a quick adjustment to the game plan instead of sticking to it and waiting for success!!!

Anyone who has any reservations on CCC needs to read this and shut up.

DeSean Smith

Will be the biggest beneficiary of this hire. We had far too many 2-man, and 1-man because of protection - the best defense is a good offense - they cannot get after the QB (or at least not with as much abandon) if they're worried about 5 backs and ends coming at them. Magee might get more touches at RB, especially on 3rd down, because he's the most credible receving threat in the backfield.

Ronnie Brown was also having by far his best season as a pro with Cam in 2007 before he tore an ACL after week seven.

In fantasy football, it was widely known to snatch the RB in the Cam Cameron offense because of the pass targets.

Take ALLLLLLL of what was said in that article and add to the fact that if you honestly believe there wasnt another NFL team that would have killed to hire Cam you are naive. If you think that guy would pass up the opportunity to run his own offense in the NFL to come be a Les Miles pawn, again you are naive. This guy is taking the job because he will have complete autonomy.

He's a good coach.

He's not an innovator or "sexy." But he's a good coach.

Will fit us perfectly.

I love the man. I think he's a great coach and obviously I had a lot of great years with him.

Now Brees can wear some P&G to support his guy.

Can't stand him. Was glad to see him go pro after what he did at Auburn. Glad they beat Oregon though.

I know when opposing staffs look across at ours during warm ups, they have to think, ohhhh shite.

It could very easily be an NFL staff.

This. Seems that's been the biggest failing of late with the Stud era, the lack of adjustments and the seeming inability to establish any kind of identify on offense which goes back to just having a knack for play sequencing.
