Kentucky
at Louisville
Norfolk St.
Akron
Temple
Vanderbilt
at Miami (OH)
Rice
Duke
at Wake Forest
I'm embarassed to want either of these two teams OOC Schedule. But its a fact! Sick of playing Troy, North Texas, Tulane, and 1AA powerhouses.

rather Vandy's. two BCS teams and two mid-majors, with only one of the BCS teams being decent (Wake).

Would you say Troy will be your toughest OOC opponent?

It is sad that LSU's schedule is weaker than both of these. I'd say Troy is probably LSU's toughest opponent, Appy St not too far behind.

I'd say you guys and App. State are on the same page.

Troy is the toughest OOC team on our schedule..with App. St. second. And I'm serious I'd rather play Wake Forest or Louisville. We've got to diversify our schedule more and stop playing the same old nobodies!

Well in our defense we are slowly making a mark on the football world. Every year we are playing the big boys close and beating some of them. I'm sure FSU, Okie St, Missouri, and UGA don't think we are nobodies. I'm not trying to be a arse or say watch out cause blah blah blah.... Just sayin that our team is working on making a name for itself

SEC OOC games suck real bad...i mean...kentucky temple??????? i won money off of the PSU temple game last year and the spread was 45 points...haha...its sad...it will be good to get a decent opponent in washington next year...why can't we play more opponents in the ACC...i think Va Tech was a great opponent...even though the score wasn't great, it brought a lot of attention..or maybe even the big ten...i'd love to see an SEC team play a MSU or PSU during the OOC games...

I'd rather beat on Miami again. Nothing like beening able to hold blowout losses over another premiere program.

I have no problem with any one of our OOC games, and you can say something positive about 3 of the 4 (Appy State - I-AA champs and beat Michigan; Troy - building a solid SBC program over there; Tulane - traditional matchup). BUT, I have a serious problem playing them all in the season.

Just saw this on ESPN. I don't give much credit to their opinions, but our weak OOC schedule is showing.
Does anyone think that the new AD will push to have better OOC games? I know we have Washington coming up, but not sure who else. We need some bigger BCS opponents, IMO, even though we already play in the toughest conference.

I have no idea why you just listed UK's OOC schedule. That's the worse POS OOC schedule I've ever seen. Louisville is the only one of those 4 teams in the Top 100 of college football teams, and that's only because UK has to schedule them as part of a rivalry. And Louisville sucked hardcore last year.

I believe that was his point. As bad as those schedules are, they are still better than ours.

Okay, well then I'm really confused, because there's nothing wrong with Vandy's schedule at all, and Appy State, North Texas, and Troy are all Top 100 teams. Tulane is the rival thrown in for nostalgia.

Last season Troy finished above Alabama in the rankings and also moved into the top 25. We ended the season at 34 in SI's power rankings..... but then again who wasn't ranked hirer than Alabama last season

that was precisely my point! All I'm saying is lets switch it up. Tulane yea good rivalry (but we beat em every year), therefore not a rivalry when you beat someone every time out. App. St. ( 2nd time in so many years)..IMO thats one too many. North Texas = Crap! And Troy is the only one with my respect!

You never know until the games are played but if I'd have to bet I'd bet App State will be the best team LSU playes non conference. Troy has never been, in terms of caliber, more than equivalent to a top level I-AA/FCS team to begin with. I don't think Troy has had a I-A/FBS team yet that would, more probably than not, have won the I-AA/FCS national championship had it been in the tournament. And they lost a quarterback that was very important to their competetiveness. App State did not.

They didn't even win the Sun Belt conference...a I-A/FBS conference that has a 4-8 record against the nearby I-AA/FCS Southland conference. And the Southland Conference is maybe, in recent years year in and year out, been the 5th or 6th strongest league in I-AA/FCS.

The only BCS league team Troy has beaten on the road was 3-8 Mississippi State in 2001. Another 3-8 Mississippi State team was beaten by 5-6 I-AA Maine in 2004.
Look, Troy has never accomplished anything remotely close to what App State accomplished in winning at Ann Arbor last season.
