I said the same thing but apparently they only have the equipment and personnel to do the check required for the POTUS, for 5 gates.

He’s pretty connected but I agree, it sounds ridiculous.

Here's the game day info from the Bama site. There's nothing about limited gates being open, but the security process is going to slow. I'm a little surprised the gates aren't opening earlier than 11:30. POTUS needs to be in and settled long before the game.

Had POTUS and Pence both in Atlanta today. They were headed back to Dobbins AFB after their meetings in Buckhead around 3:30 this afternoon. The traffic on I-75/85 was totally screwed!

Hopefully it won't be as bad in Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

I have no inside information, but I would think they would use the small window of time during player warmups before the national anthem to get the president into the stadium after most of the 100K are inside.
