Be assured..
Coaches in the SEC are in this league for the money but also the competition. They WANT to go against the best. To prove that THEY are the best.
LSU will have at least 3 games in the reg season where they will have to have clutch offensive play calling and execution ALONG WITH stellar defensive play calling and execution, the likes of which we haven’t yet witnessed this season.
Luckily, I believe that Dave Aranda and company have been very smart so far to not show the big things they’re working on in practices this season. I think he will have a few surprises for each of the 3 teams that appear to have a defense that could cause a bit of a defensive-battle of a game.
Lastly, I believe that the main reason for the missed tackles that have made our defense look worse than they really are/have been playing is lack of excitement because I think the Texas game was really good until the second half when they got tired.

So for the big games I expect the opponent to have a few ways to slow our offense down a bit, but obviously not completely.. and for our defense to play to their potential.
(That was long lol gotta little carried away)

I must be one of the few that’s concerned about Utah. I have all next week to worry about Florida

It was reported in The Advocate that LSU’s secondary have allowed 223.5 passing yards per game, ranking them 69th nationally. I believe in Dave Aranda, I also believe he’s been concerned and is not waiting for Fla or Aub, he’s searching for the right players in the right position to strengthen LSU’s secondary.

Thanks for the long response. I read it all. LOL

Was a little bothered by all the negative opinions on air, that Fla will continue to have LSU’s number and Aub has the championship defense to beat LSU. Well I”ll offer mine. What both Aub and Fla don’t have, is a Joe Burrow.

3rd and 17 at UT showed me all I needed to know. In past years that’s a sack, INT, or incomplete pass.

When teams get pressure on Joe in this system, he moves extremely well in the pocket, looks off defenders, and throws strikes.

It’s apples and oranges comparing what UF has done against LSU in previous years to what will happen this year, or anyone else for that matter.

WHEN we have all of our weapons available....yes, I'd agree.

Block the edges vs Florida and you can tear their defense up.

Auburn concerns me only Because their DLine is so damn good. I give us the edge because it’s at home

Really don't see Florida keeping up with Lsu offence not do I see Auburn keeping up with the Tiger offense. Weather Tigers win by 3 pts or 30 pts this is really a fun team to watch. You couldn't say that bout the 2003 team or 2007 team that won nattys. Mayby were expecting too much but we should be, right.

People need to settle down. This offense is the most exiting i've ever seen, but the 2007 was in fact VERY fun to watch. So was the 2003 team.

"Have our number"

I do not think either team has a disproportionate number of wins against us.

Florida not a chance. they just don't have enough offense, and while their defense is good, we will score a fair amount of points.

auburn is much more dangerous, because their front 7 is so damn good. they will still have to play ball control and score on offense, & their offense has it's strong points but it's not a juggernaut.
we haven't had to use screens very much nor throw to the TE much, but it's there and I expect to see more of these plays against tougher D's. also don't forget Joe running on RPO's. I would be more concerned about auburn if we were in their house this year. I expect to win a tough game.

and, from what we've seen, we can compete and win against alabama this year.

Fla and Mullen concern me because LSU hasn’t solved their own defensive issues yet. Aranda isn’t saving anything for Fla and Aub, he’s still searching for solutions to shore up his defense. It could happen, so much anticipation trepidation for those two games on offense and defense.

There's a group of fans that agree with BR's radio sports jock Moscona that Fla's offensive head coach Dan Mullen and DC Todd Grantham have LSU's number and will continue to. There's another that agrees with former NFL and LSU QB Rohan Davey, that Aub's defense is similar to Clemson's championship-caliber defense, that Aub's defense plays much different than LSU's and appears too tough for LSU's offense to overcome

So are you concerned for Bama and Auburns chances as well. The wall of stats I posted on the first page show that LSU’s defense is ranked same or above both of those teams yet I keep hearing about the monster defenses both of those teams have...

Aub’s defense has manhandled Oregon in the second half, and the Aggies and Miss St for the entire game. I don’t think stats do Aub justice.

Obviously you don’t listen to sports radio much. That’s your prerogative, if want to be uninformed.
