Our fanbase actually suffers from Rohan Syndrome after that. That’s really when I remember it starting.

Legitimately one of the all time what if guys imo. He was so powerful and fast before the ACL I really think he could have had a very good NFL career.

He was clearly the 1a over Dominick Davis (way too old to be changing his name in the NFL ) and he obviously had a nice career too, so no reason to think Labrandon couldn’t have had similar or better success.

ACL’s were a totally different injury and recovery back then, unfortunately. Alley Broussard and Justin Vincent were two that were just never the same as well.

Although JV’s decline started before that injury. I believe his was a BogieCL, ultimate career killer even with all of the advancements in today’s modern medicine

I remember that game well.

LSU was leading 10-7 with about 2:00 to go in the 1H. Ole Miss scored a TD to go up 14-10. LSU then got the ball back with TOs and some time to work with. Yet, Saban decided to just try run out the clock and ran the ball three straight times, which OM stuffed. OM called a TO with ~30 seconds left then blocked LSU's punt on 4th down in LSU territory. Ole Miss then scored again with ~10 seconds left to go up 21-10 at HT.

The crowd was booing when Saban just decided to run out the clock before the blocked punt. They were furious after the block and subsequent TD by Ole Miss. To think what the fans felt about Saban at that moment and what he would go on to accomplish after that is a funny thought to look back on.

I had a date at that game who wanted to leave at halftime and she made it VERY clear why she wanted to leave I wasn't then, and not now, one to leave at halftime. But she was committing a lot of "personal fouls" and "holding". So we left. After business was complete, I turned the game back on and was shocked to see LSU had come back to take the lead in the 4th. Of course, they blew the lead and lost.

But that loss totally changed the season. The complaints were that Jimbo was too conservative. The next week Jimbo let Rohan and Reed loose. Ro set the school record for passing yards with over 500 and Reed set the SEC record with nearly 300 yards on 19 catches! The offense was almost unstoppable after that.

I remember early in that Tennessee game, on LSU's first drive, Rohan Davey set sail toward the goalline with about a 60 yard run! I knew we meant business that night, and it was incredible how fleet of foot the big guy was!

It really is crazy. Erin Damond was a marked man after those back to back TDs before half. Not sure he played again after that

Am I making things up or were fans throwing drinks as Saban went to the the tunnel??

My crew had tickets to that game and we all bailed after the OM fiasco, wasn’t in the mood for a road trip sitting at 4-3 with virtually no shot at Atlanta.

J Reed became my all time favorite Tiger after the TD against GTech in the Peach Bowl before TM7 and Burrow, so missing Ro to Reed go nuclear is an all time regret

Wish Harlem Berry was tried at WR like Reed.

My first game and changed my life forever.
Was not an LSU.

Now, 26 years season ticket holder and
23 of them living dallas.
Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Most home games for decades, Thursday in NO then to BR on Friday
