On the Sunday before LSU’s opener, BR paper strangely quiet.

Rabalais is behaving weird, can not recall it being this quiet the week before LSU’s opening football game. Especially with so many LSU fans clamoring to witness LSU’s spread offense. How much will fans see in the opener? I would expect plenty considering it’s the center piece of LSU’s offense.
In The Advocate, Brooks Kubena did report today on beer and wine sales in Tiger Stadium and how West Virginia set a record for the amount of beer sales to LSU fans.

You’re an odd guy. Unlike in past years, this opener is kind of a snooze fest, so I’m not sure how much Georgia Southern hype you’re expecting.

Interesting observation. Most home town papers of college teams are overflowing with features on the Sunday before the opening game.
Maybe some of the Bashers on TD work for local papers?

Exactly, it's just weird! We live and breathe LSU football here. The Advocate today printed zero info in Sunday's paper on LSU football. Based on their reporting today, we care more about beer sales at Tiger Stadium than we do football.

It's The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge. Being this is the Sunday before LSU's start of football season, I was expecting a full write up on what to expect from LSU this season and in its opener. Reading most posts here, there's a great deal more excitement building for the LSU opener and this season. Is that an exaggeration on my part?

Very True! Sunday, I was at least expecting some last-minute news on LSU's offense, defense, and an injury update. It's like the place is in total lockdown.
