This is actually 100% true, I have never been to Omaha but meet people from there who have told me the exact same thing. They also said they love the food people from LSU bring and fact that LSU people are more fun and spend more money than anyone else

I've been numerous times, with and without LSU. It's a different level of fun when LSU goes for everyone. They love us because we party hard and spend a lot of money there from a ton of fans going. Miss State sends a good bit too but there are a LOT of LSU fans there now because of the relationships created during the 90's and so on from the Bertman years.

My dad and I went in 2017. Just woke up and drove the whole way the day before - no tickets, no hotel, nothing. Figured we could just grab tickets out front - not.

So I began searching extremely hard for tickets - eBay, stubhub, etc. - nothing.

Luckily, I get on craigsList and find this listing for a local guy selling tickets - I call and leave a message.

He calls back and says "did you and your dad really drive the whole way with no tickets?!" yes sir, we did. He says "come meet me at this gas station, I'll hook you up."

I call my dad, he picks me up from one end of the stadium and I said "to the gas station!" - unbeknownst to me, my dad is headed back to our hotel - I ask what for - he goes up to our room and comes back down with his pistol and says "son, we're going to meet a random guy at a gas station and he knows that we have cash" - good point, dad.

So we get there, waiting, I call the guy, he never answers - finally after 20 minutes, this nice, lifted 4-door 4x4 GMC 2500 pulls up - out jumps the nicest guy ever - says he has 8 tickets every year on the front row - his family never goes with him anymore so anytime we come, just call him and we can have them - he even gave us a parking pass.

One month later, my phone dies and won't turn back on - bring it to the apple store and the guy tells me it'll be $700 to TRY and fix it but more than likely, it won't happen.

I'd give anything for that man's phone number right now.

I've been 4 times, three to Rosenblatt. Met a couple of Nebraska fans, became friends. Now when I go I have free place to stay plus use of their car to get to the games. They want me to come up in the fall and attend a Neb football game with them. Thinking of going this fall.

One of my wife's friend of a friend is from Omaha. It turns out her husband died a few years ago, they used to go to the CWS every year. She had no family in Omaha so she moved to BR, I asked why she picked BR, she said the LSU people she met at the CWS were the nicest people ever, some of the kept up with her and encouraged her to come here, so she did. She said now she feels like she has family here, she has seasons tickets to the Box and will soon marry a widower she met at a tailgate.

Seems Omaha has found other schools to be fans of since LSU rarely goes these days.

Omaha gets freakin wild when LSU makes a deep run. That Florida series was nuts other than losing both games

LSU took over that stadium bigly

They always welcome the teams that go up there, but it’s a very special welcome when LSU and their fans GEAUX there!!

If you GEAUX in non-CWS times, wear your LSU gear. Everyone compliments our Tigers!

Drove 15 hrs through the night in 2017. Got to Barrett's at 8:30am on the Monday of the Florida series. Place was packed, fight song blaring, drinks flowing already.

Met a guy at the bar and told him what we did to get there. Said he loved the story and pulled out a 50 spot from his wallet and gave it to us saying "have a great time"

Can't wait to go back

Omaha is one of my bucket list destinations for LSU sports. I have been saying for years I need to go. Maybe this next coach will give me a good reason.

That is a cool story.
I've never been but it's certainly on my bucket list.

I've told my wife that I actually feel sorry (just a little) for some of the other teams because the LSU love in Omaha is that real. Just check the local papers when we're there, you would swear that LSU was the host team. God I miss it.
