Why don't we spend more money on the best OLINE money can buy ? There are a ton of skill players, spend the money on the Big boys .

We did with Seaton. Unfortunately it's hard to fix in 1 offseason. We were worse last year. This would fix many problems though.

Seaton certainly has not lived up to the hype. That extra money will be saved and spread around next year.

we did

but everyone wants good linemen

It’s a competitive
market.

Seatton, Strey, Harper, Bah, Tompkins, Sprinkle, Satterwhite,

We had maybe 1 SEc caliber OL on the roster and we had like 4 scholarship OL.

Seaton has been a bright spot it's just the interior of the line is the weakness. Seaton is not a bust.

Elite O-Linemen rarely enter the portal, and when they do, they’re very expensive. Simply supply/demand problem. Same problem exists in the NFL.

Lane possibly did the best he could this offseason. Went and secured the best O-Lineman in the portal in Seaton. Then signed a handful of solid players with potential to improve. Finally, he essentially hired 2 proven O-Line coaches, to try to develop and squeeze as much juice as possible from the best O-Line room he could reasonably assemble.

At some point, someone needs to step up at LG. Your LT & C are strong. Your RT has improved and is playing well. RG is experienced, and solid.

Everyone wants elite guys at every spot, but you can get by with a line that is greater than the sum of its parts. LSU’s problem is the LG spot has been bad, and they’re still trying to figure this out halfway through the season. It needs to be set soon, for continuity come the November slate.

I’m actually really surprised how disappointing Bah has been at RG so far. All I heard was how much of a road grader Bah was and played mad when he committed to us.
