No he did not. BUT, what he did do is pay (or order to be paid) players from a private checking account. Forgetting the gross violation of rules, this should be a fireable offense on the grounds of gross stupidity

You should at least read the IARP findings before you spout nonsense.

To be clear, he was not found to be doing this, and he doesn't even work at VCU anymore when the alleged improper payment happened.

I'll be glad when he's out of the SEC. Right now, he's probably the best AD in the conference. He makes good hires, and unlike Woodward, he doesn't break the bank doing it.

Dickie V said it, so you know, they don't even have to actually read the allegations or the findings.

Listen to the TaPEzzz!

Here's the cliffs, improper payment was made to blackmailing ex girlfriend. His wife is a booster under the newly discovered Penny Hardaway rule. Failure to uphold the highest standards of integrity.

Strong arse offer was for on court coaching position of recruit contact. Actually allowable and not a violation in any respect.

People can only denigrate the most consistently successful men's basketball coach at lsu since Brown because there is nothing good to say about the current coach.

Oh, I forgot that McBland does have a nice family per reports.

There's a difference between being a good basketball coach and having to rebuild a program from the ground up with restrictions and little to no support.

McMahon isn't a program builder on the level of what LSU needs to be successful.

This is true. Wade brought life back to LSU basketball. I have tried multiple times to watch a game. Haven’t made it through an entire game yet.

LSU isn’t serious about Men’s Basketball. It’s all football , baseball, or women’s basketball. You can’t pay everybody. Been watching LSU basketball since 1980

That’s complete crap. Basketball ruled all for a period in the 80s to early 90s. And that’s when baseball was in the CWS, yet basketball couldn’t make a big run in the NCAA tournament.

If one has to go back to the early 90s to make a point that LSU is serious about men's basketball, you are making the opposite point.

If someone were able to remember this period and were at least 7 years old in 1993, they would be 40 or 41 years old at minimum now. Many who enjoyed that period are no longer with us. There are many LSU fans who didn't experience this period, unfortunately, because they are too young.

Yeah man, our athletic department has been in shambles since he took over. I definitely would trade LSU’s athletic department with Kansas or Arizona or ole miss or any one of the other athletic departments mentioned here. shite, we should probably just shut it down in general. Just call it a day.

I think it's been pretty obvious since John Brady was let go, that LSU isn't really all that interested in having a successful Men's basketball program. I don't think they were all that fired up about having a reputable basketball program for either Men or Women. They kept terrible coaches around, and fired decent ones. They lucked out with Mulkey, I believe she wanted to coach LSU, not really that LSU was looking to hire her out of the blue. I think they would have kept Nikki around.

What the frick are you talking about? Yes Johnny and Trent were dog shite. Then we went out and got a hot young coach in wade. Wade fricked himself and lsu and got fired. We had to go out and get someone else. Mm looked like a good hire but it’s not working out. But we clearly tried to go out and get someone good instead of letting collis2 tell us to hire his padnah.

Mm is not good currently, that’s becoming apparent. He had a good resume but isn’t working out. It sucks but it is what is is. That doesn’t mean we don’t care about basketball.

Who would be pushing the cart?

Johnson, Jones, Mac?
Our Admin has a dismal record of hiring Basketball Coaches.
Maybe you are too young to remember the fiasco when Dale Brown retired.
The LSU Admin. offered the job to several individuals and they all refused it. One was Rob Evans the Basketball Coach at Ole Miss. He refused it, but later left Ole Miss for a position out West. Maybe New Mexico State. Within three or four years he was fired and disappeared from Head Coaching.
Finally in desperation, the job was offered to John Brady, a friend of then AD, Joe Dean's son. Brady worked his arse off and rebuilt the program that was in shambles, to the final four. The next season the team had some key injuries and stumbled. So they fired Brady and we were again at the bottom of the league.
Wade has been the exception. A bright light in the murky history of LSU Basketball.
Tate and Woody probably did him a favor. He can probably build McNeese into a competent program, then Jump to a larger program that has real support for the basketball program with top facilities.
Enjoy your yourself in the PMAC. You will have your pick of the seats.

Reading Comprehension seems to be your problem.
Maybe do some research. How many times did LSU basketball beat KY prior to Dale Brown?
