Wave over Rebels, but ideally we would get a tie.

I’m older( late 50’s) I guess I’m different. I always want Louisiana teams to win unless they are playing LSU

Without hesitation. Tulane was the once a rival, but now they're not, so unless we're playing each other I'm riding the Wave when I see they're playing. I think it's awesome they've managed to crack the rankings.

My sentimentality only extends so far, however, and regrettably does not include our friends in the Orchard.

You just don't get it. Did we still call LSU/Bama a rivalry from 2012-2018 even though bama spanked us?

LSU should be playing Tulane rather than Grambling. Lot more interesting matchup and enthusiasm.

True, but Ole Miss really isn’t a threat either.

The only way I wouldn't is if one of them became a serious threat to become a peer in football, and I just don't see that as a real possibility. The "haves" are consolidating, not expanding.

"Support your state"? Last I read, the weenies' alums are 85% out of state students. I had a niece, with a 4.0 GPA, from N.O. turned down for admission because, as told to my bil, "we get a lot more admission monies from out of state students ", i.e. out of state tuition is a lot higher.

Yes. My hatred of Tulane is minuscule compared to Ole Miss.

Most Tulane grads went back to New Jersey after graduation.
