Deion - Duke - Donnie

The undersized and (under appreciated) LB will come in the form of Donnie Alexander, though I think Corey has a big year.

Corey is good, but he better keep improving because Ray Thornton is earning Coach O trust for playing time.

Seems like he has the physical tools, but in DA's scheme his LB pos is not on the field that much. Of course it depends on who we are playing, but think about it....our DEF set probably 70-75% of the time is 3-3-5.

I'm really interested to see who becomes that hybrid DB, like Dwayne Thompson last season. Guy who can match up with the right receiver, spy the qb, and also make tackles vs a running game. He was a force in the Bama game keeping Hurts in check and off the edge.

Yeah, I was gonna say I think he originally committed during the W. Bush administration.

Not to be picky but, it was Dwayne Thomas. LSU has a couple of options for the nickel back.

Paris if he gets beat out at safety by Delpit or Stevens.

Greedy is another. He's already made Smith leave.

He will be good, but White will be a beast in Aranda's defense.

Delpit will start sooner rather than later. He balled out in the spring game. He made plays on the ball. Got to the ball carrier as good as anyone and already looks the part physically. He looked ready and I think we see him on the field in game 1 at S. not saying he starts game 1 but they won't be able to keep him off the field. He's that good.

This. The position last year was rarely on the field last year bc you have to bring in the nickel back.

I thought it was a great move to Divinity on the inside this spring. And he played well in the limited time in the spring game. He looks to be the next man up and can rotate with Donnie Alexander but Ed O stated in media days that Divinity was on the outside. We seem to have a million outside linebackers. Keep Divinity in the middle!

Is the majority of the rants hype for White based off of one game and that being the bowl game?

Wasn't Corey effectively the Landon Collins "Backup Plan" when he was recruited? Hope he has a great year!

Agreed, you would think he would be the 'rotation guy' to spell either White or Alexander and add the FR if they are ready to contribute and play at this level.

Donnie and Devin in the middle. Corey will be surpassed by Michael Divinity during the season.
