One glaring difference between He and I is , the minute this plug of a president would have crawfished on me to cover his arse in the media, i would have resigned on the spot and told him afterwards to get fricked.

Dude been there 30 plus years and this dude shows up and is playing word games on V.

I grew up in New Iberia. Verge Sr. was my principal at Freshman High, and I had classes with Verge.

It's easy for stud football players to be too cool, maybe even conceited when in high school.

Verge was a super friendly guy, a great student and though his dad was quite the disciplinarian, he did his job with class.
Classy, educated, and hardworking people are how I remember that family.

Then Verge put on the purple and gold, and sold out on the field game after game.

I cannot bash this guy, we all learn lessons through failure and I choose to believe this guy can get it done.
He's LSU through and through and it's his time to shine. I say he redeems himself quite well moving forward.

We haven’t had an AD people liked since I’ve been alive. So I wouldn’t worry about what people think. The guy they just fired was drooled over because he got Jimbo to A&M when we wanted him. Now they hate him for the same thing.

Verge will get credit and blame for whoever gets hired for football and likely basketball in the near future. So within 3-4 years we will either like him or hate him.
