Dude the entire offensive personnel outside of Berry, Aaron Anderson and maybe Green is hot dogshite. It isn’t just the QB. that’s a full on entire offensive effort to this putrid. Kiffin would throw up and tell most of those dudes to just pack your shite and go home if he had to work with this offensive unit.

It doesn’t help to have a SWAC offensive coaching staff.

But to the point made, Nuss isn’t a runner. Are you aware if Van Buren”s stats coming into the year??? Because he’s got rhythm doesn’t mean he’s a running qb. This is the point I am trying to make.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying what I think a lot of people were thinking. He barely had any running yards last year, but he was sacked a million times with MSU's awful OL. He did have 5 rushing TDs. He's a pretty good runner, but he is not really a running QB in my mind. Just a guy who can take advantage if there are running lanes there.

Reading the responses I now see why nobody likes to admit their erroneous thinking here. Bunch of self righteous never-wrongs jumping up.

The worst part was seeing WRs running wide open and he would skip the ball a yard in front of them
Do you suffer from short term memory loss?

I honestly was shocked at how bad MVB was last night. I thought he looked a lot better vs Arkansas but he regressed badly in just a week's time. It pained me to try to sit there and try to watch such an ineffective offense against an overmatched opponent.

I’ll say his feet and hips are better than Nuss’.

Unfortunately, an awful QB otherwise. Injured Nuss was better overall. This dude cannot be your starter next year.

that QB for WKU was impressive

lol wat. No he wasn’t. He averaged like 3 yards per attempt and threw 2 picks. What game were you watching?

20/39 128 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs. What part of his game impressed you?

I love how everyone is on here acting like they knew Van Buren sucked. Most of these cucks were begging for him to start, proclaiming his incredible running abilities. Now they wanna come in here and act like none of that happened and they were right all along. What a joke.

We had a first and goal from the 2 and couldn't get in the endzone against Western Kentucky.

That is not on the QB. They could have called me up from my seats and I could have made a call with 4 chances to score a TD. That's on the OC, not the QB.

But, yeah, he has regressed. He looked really good in mop up duty against Southeastern. Last week, he did enough to beat Arkansas. This week he was terrible.

That's on the OC and Qb coach.

Those same coaches who built and coach this putrid OL.

It all starts with the OL, Nuss went from the Heisman favorite to a bum overnight. The Offense is just unsalvageable at this point, regardless of who is at QB.

I thought he was the run-pass QB we needed for next year!

The answer might already be on the roster. Johnson needs to enter the summer as QB1.

When players regress it’s on the coaches, but they may be checked out.Get a offensive minded coach and MVB would be much improved.

He announced he’s staying. Like he has a choice. He tricked us into taking him. Fool me once.
