I could actually believe that about F.Queen, he is a huge liberal. Alleva is the one that pushed the suspension and peony went around F.Queen to the board for support.

So would JBE have any say in this whatsoever?

I guess, in theory, if you followed the chain of command all the way to the top. But if you keep following it, it ends with the residents of the State of Louisiana who vote those people into office

Sankey issued a statement of support with the quickness. Even so, if Alleva was like, "yea, we did this whole jump to conclusions thing at Duke and didn't really work out" then folded to pressure and did it anyway, that makes it WORSE!

I'm 50 years old. In these 50 years I have seen schools cower to the NCAA and get demolished, and I've seen schools give the NCAA the middle finger and skate.

What good does it do suspending him now? If he's found guilty, we're fricked and 99% of the season is vacated. If he's NOT found guilty of anything, then this is a HUGE mistake.

I don't buy this. They are the two bosses. Who else would have made that decision?

Nope. It was all F King. Alleva was willing to hunker down and wait it out. He just folded like a bitch when F King came knocking.

People really need to stop believing everything they hear.

Everyone.

This whole shitshow is based on context free quotes and reactionary agendas.

sounds like the Les Miles saga of 2015. They trying to claim they got a call from the Governor's office again?

That actually happened. Jindal didn't want the optics of it while healthcare and education was being slashed.

I agree.

And it’s dumb. If it were true it would be an even worse situation.

I don't agree with sitting Smart. I don't think it's right. The kid plays his arse off and then has to miss the last game of the season at home which could clinch the SEC title all for an abundance of caution? Are they going to count the rest of the season when we played Smart if an investigation finds real proof of wrongdoing?
