This team still has a chance to host a regional this year, no matter how much that pisses yall off.

and every game they play makes that chance just a little bit smaller.

If we dont do those things, and are relatively healthy, either he or the assistants did a shitty job. Hard for me to say that when we havent been close to fully healthy all year. He has done a shitty job of motivating the team in the midweek, that i can say

Done with the shitty jokes?

Please explain how a team can go lose to nicholls at hole in the midweek, then go take 2 of 3 from one of the best teams in baseball that weekend at their place if you dont like “thats baseball”

It wasn't a joke

shite coaching and getting lucky against those good teams.

Inconsistency isn't "baseball." Catching a bad break every once in a while is. We've passed that

A coach who dgaf. That’s the real answer.

Very good talent with no excuse other than no leadership.

So when a team who plays in the cws did those things, they just got lucky against good teams? They arent just a good team themselves who plays in the parity of college baseball? You dont think parity exists in the sport?

Let's get to CWS before you start trying to make these arguments.

Parity does not exist between LSU and LA fricking Tech ETA: Or all the other garbages teams this team has found a way to lose to

the only thing i can think of is that he is 1 season removed from winning a sec title and making it all the way to the CBase world series finals

I wasnt saying this team is a cws team, but lsu teams of the past have had similar results.

Oh nevermind, you think la tech isnt a decent team. You obviously dont follow the sport, continuing this convo is pointless

How far are you stretching the definition of similar?

How stupid are you?

I just said LSU HAS 2O DAMN PITCHERS!!
LSU has lost to Southern, McNeese, ULL, NwState, and La Tech. All of these are midweek games. No you don't want to use your weekend pitchers in midweek games but the point is that out of the REMAINING PITCHERS ON THE ENTIRE LSU STAFF LSU CAN'T FIND A DAMN PITCHER WHO CAN PITCH IN A MIDWEEK GAME.

Are the remaining pitchers that bad? If so, why are they here and who recruited them? It looks like much of this staff just isn't LSU material. The evidence is there to support this conclusion.

You sunshine pumpers just amaze me. You argue points and seem to have no comprehension skills. I can't say this any clearer.

The top teams in the country.

UCLA - HC is the pitching coach, and they have 2 paid hitting coaches, one of which is the recruiting coordinator.

Vanderbilt - HC, Pitching coach, and Hitting coach/RC

Arkansas - HC, Pitching coach, and Hitting coach/RC

Louisville - HC, Pitching coach, and Hitting coach/RC

Yes but we have "good ole Paul". I am sure all of the listed programs would trade for CPM. Lucky us.

No. CPM is 2 seasons removed from that.
Go back 1 year and LSU did not host and was sent to Oregon State and was embarrassed.

And now 1 year later LSU is 30-19 and is losing almost every midweek game and is heading into Arkansas. That is 2 years.

History class is over now.

the offense sucks because they have no legitimate coach. That is 100% on Mainieri. He was not prepared to replace Cannizaro when he left. Our offense was rolling under Cannizaro-- and continued to in 2017 with those same players who had been coached by him. I don't know why he thought he could just promote some 30 year old former players with no coaching experience to be the hitting coach at the #1 program in college baseball.

That’s exactly what he did when he hired Cannizaro. Hired a 30 something coach with no coaching experience

Maybe get Ben McDonald as HC/PC and keep Cain as recruiting coordinator and go hire a fricking hitting coach maybe Todd Walker. With the group I mentioned I don't think we lose 12-1.

So then again you choose a head coach/pitching coach with no coaching experience and a hitting coach with no coaching experience

LSU needs to go hire a successful baseball coach from a major program and tell CPM "Thanks for the memories".
